Beckendorf Capitalizes Late and Hibdon Controls Thursday Modified Qualifiers

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2026) — Brandon Beckendorf capitalized on late trouble for the leaders, while Kollin Hibdon took command near halfway and never looked back in Thursday’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified qualifying during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Two 25-lap qualifiers determined eight starting spots in the middle lane of Saturday’s Big Dance, with the top four finishers in each locking themselves into the championship event. Minnesota’s Jake Timm led the opening lap of the first qualifier before a caution slowed the field on lap two. Timm was strong on the restart and quickly began opening an advantage before another yellow on lap four. Timm again got away well, while two-time IMCA TV Clash on the Coast champion Austen Becerra of Illinois rocketed into second. Timm’s run at the front ended on lap six when a flat tire brought him to a halt, handing the lead to Ricky Stephan. The defending Park Jefferson Speedway track champion, who has won track championships in five consecutive decades, [Read More]

Stone Holds Off Late Challenges for First Stock Car All-Star Invitational Victory

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2026) — Winton, Calif.’s Paul Stone survived a race filled with challenges and late restarts Thursday night to capture his first career B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational victory during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Stone grabbed the lead on the opening lap but immediately found himself in a battle with 2022 Marshalltown Speedway champion Michael Jaennette. The three-time defending Merced Speedway champion kept Jaennette behind him and eventually began to build an advantage. Behind Stone, Jeff Ware and Tyler Wilson put on a strong battle for second. Wilson, winner of this year’s IMCA Summer Nationals at Independence Motor Speedway and the 2023 Wisconsin State champion, worked his way into contention before a caution on lap 12 erased Stone’s advantage. Stone, Ware, and Wilson went three-wide for the lead on the restart, but Stone managed to remain out front. Two-time defending U.S. 30 Speedway track champion Ware finally found a way underneath Stone on lap 16 and beat him to the [Read More]

Czarneski Charges to Win and Fett Fends Off Field in Thursday Stock Car Qualifiers

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2026) — Cole Czarneski mastered a late restart, while Colby Fett survived a green-white-checkered finish to win Thursday’s Sunoco IMCA Stock Car qualifiers at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The pair of 25-lap qualifiers set the middle lane for Saturday’s Big Dance, with the top four finishers from each locking themselves into the championship event. Czarneski took command on the opening lap and began to stretch his advantage as the race stayed under green. The 2024 141 Speedway track champion had clear sailing out front while Shelby Williams, Kodey Miles, and Zane DeVilbiss were among those fighting for the fourth and final transfer position. A caution on lap 15 erased Czarneski’s advantage and set up a three-car battle for second on the restart. Another yellow two circuits later again slowed the pace, but Czarneski was strong when the green returned. Williams began reeling in the leader with two laps remaining, only for another caution to halt his charge and set up a green-white-checkered finish. The [Read More]
