Stephen Stiteler: From Rodeo Roads to His Rise in the Sport Compacts

By Ben Deatherage ALVORD, Texas (Apr. 29, 2026) — In a small North Texas town where the highway hum never really fades and cattle trailers roll past more often than commuter traffic, Stephen Stiteler has built a life defined by movement. Alvord, Texas, sits just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex—a quiet place with deep agricultural roots, where a park, a bank, and a handful of local businesses make up the heart of town. But just down the road lies something much bigger: the Fort Worth Stockyards, rodeo arenas, and a culture built around livestock and long days on the road. For Stiteler, it was the perfect fit. Because long before racing entered the picture, the road already had. A Life Before Racing Stiteler didn’t grow up chasing dirt track wins. “I raced go-karts when I was about 12 or 13, but only for a year,” he said. “I had three siblings and we were always busy with sports, so racing kind of went away.” Instead, his path took a different direction—one that kept him just [Read More]

Corn Belt Clash Returns for Memorial Day Weekend Tripleheader

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (Apr. 28, 2026) — The Corn Belt Clash returns for three straight nights of Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite action over Memorial Day weekend, with stops at three of Iowa’s premier facilities. The tripleheader kicks off Friday, May 22 at Marshalltown Speedway, continues Saturday, May 23 at Boone Speedway, and wraps up Sunday, May 24 at Stuart Speedway. Drivers will compete for $500 to win each night with $100 to start, as the series again offers strong payouts across all three events. An additional $3,000 has been committed by anonymous donors and will be distributed among the top 20 drivers in overall Corn Belt Clash points, with $150 awarded to each qualifier. Event officials note that additional contributions are being pursued, and any increase in funding will go directly toward boosting payouts for those top 20 positions. Peak Decals will once again provide the winner’s checks each night, while Weekend Performance awards $30 cash to every heat race winner. Stealth Racing will also hand out $50 certificates for hard charger [Read More]

Warner Wins Wild Hobby Stock Finish at Central Arizona

By Rowdy Briggs CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Apr. 25, 2026) — Ty Warner drew the pole for the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature and made the most of it in an 18-lap thriller. Warner had Joe Peterson, Steve Bitting Jr., Anthony Madrid, Joel Magee, and Charles McDaniel III all breathing down his neck. Contact in lapped traffic on lap 18 sent Peterson to the hot pits with a flat tire. On the restart, Charles McDaniel Jr. broke and took teammate Tanner Benson into the wall. Warner held off Bitting on the late restart to score his first win of the year in the B&B Racing Chassis Southern Region for the Phoenix driver. Bitting finished second, followed by McDaniel III, Madrid, and Magee. Johnson and Winemiller Split SportMod Wins The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods delivered strong action across two nights, producing two different winners. On Saturday, the feature went 14 laps caution-free and turned into a duel between Tyler Johnson and Bubba Stafford Jr. Johnson, of Laveen, held on for his third win of the year, with [Read More]
