Betts Completes MASSive Weekend Sweep at Bridgeport

By Pete Wortman SWEDEBORO, N.J. (May 30, 2026) — Newark, Delaware’s Troy Betts made it two wins in as many nights as he took top honors in the 25-lap DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature presented by Capitol Renegade at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday night. Betts, who won the MASS event the night before at Georgetown Speedway, took advantage of his front-row starting position and led every lap of the non-stop feature to complete the “MASSive” weekend sweep. Rookie Tyler Grau and Betts brought the field to the green, however third-starting Robbie Stillwaggon surprised the front row with a turn one slider to grab the top spot. Stillwaggon, making his first start of the season, held the lead only until turn four when Betts returned the favor to be scored the leader of lap one. Betts opened up his lead over the first five laps as Grau quickly reclaimed the second position with season opening night winner Tim Iulg moving up to challenge for the spot. Iulg eventually worked past Grau and set his [Read More]

Kniss Captures $3,069 SportMod Smackdown Crown at Southern Oregon

By Ben Deatherage WHITE CITY, Ore. (May 30, 2026) — Oakley, California’s Buddy Kniss held off a furious late-race challenge to win the 40-lap, $3,069-to-win Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod Smackdown feature at Southern Oregon Speedway, earning his first victory of the 2026 season and his first career triumph in the prestigious event. Kniss jumped to the early lead and remained at the point through a lap one caution. As the race settled into a lengthy green-flag run, the battle for the lead intensified when Cory Biggs, driving the Ethan Killingsworth-owned No. 7M, mounted a charge. Biggs took over the lead on lap 15, but Kniss answered one lap later to reclaim the top spot as the leaders entered lapped traffic. While Kniss maintained command, a fierce battle for second developed between Biggs, Bo Crebs, and Isaac Sanders. Crebs, who won Friday night’s preliminary feature in the Jerry Movrich-owned No. 168, emerged as a serious contender after cautions on laps 24 and 25 tightened the field. Biggs used the bottom groove to reel in Kniss during [Read More]

Betts Breaks Through at Home with Georgetown Victory

By Pete Wortman GEORGETOWN, Del. (May 29, 2026) — Defending series champion Troy Betts finally checked a long-sought accomplishment off his list Friday night, capturing his first career victory in his home state of Delaware during the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade at Georgetown Speedway. The Newark driver started fifth and charged to the front, taking the lead from Cody West on lap 14 before driving away to collect his first RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car win of the season and the fifth MASS victory of his career. Betts also pocketed the $1,000 winner’s share courtesy of Betts Garage Towing and Hauling. Cody West grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap feature while fourth-starting D.J. Tanner quickly moved into second and began pressuring the leader. Betts worked his way into third by lap three and soon joined the battle at the front. Tanner repeatedly challenged West through the corners, but West maintained the advantage down the straightaways. By lap six, West had begun opening a [Read More]
