By Steven Young BELLS, Tex. (November 2) — The Inaugural Texas Big Four at the Grayson County Speedway in Bells, Texas is in the books. In the IMCA Modified feature, it was a renewal of a Gould Chassis Red River rivalry, as Okla­homa’s William Gould and Texan Matt Guillaume faced off head-to-head early on. Gould built a decent lead during the first handful of circuits but as the lead duo approached the back of the field, Guillaume reeled in a passed Gould for the lead lap 10. Gould used lapped traffic to regain the lead, however, in turns one and two on lap 11, going on to steadily rebuild his advantage over Guillaume. One final caution with 11 laps remaining cleared the track for Gould as he continued on for the $1,000 victory. He was followed home by Michael Ables in second and Guillaume third. BELLS, Texas – Drivers in three IMCA divisions have two opportunities to win $1,000 during the Dirt Dominator Texas Big 4 Weekend at Grayson County Speedway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods vie in $1,000 to win IMCA.TV Dirt Dominator king of the hill-type competition following the Thurs­day, Oct. 31 practice session. Qualifying is Friday, Nov. 1 at Bells with last-chance races and $1,000 to win, minimum $250 to start main events for the same divisions on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Modified feature is a qualifier for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.  There is a $50 entry fee for all divisions. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the Thursday practice starts at 6 p.m. Pit passes are $20, grandstand admission is free and there will be candy for kids celebrating Halloween at Grayson County plus the announcer challenge race. By Jackson Braun KENNEDALE, Texas – Pre-registration has officially closed for the 2019 edition of the IMCA Red River Modified Tour.  If the quality of racing from last year is any indication, everyone is in for a treat during the tour’s second running. Eighty-one IMCA Modifieds have registered, along with 62 Smiley’s Racing Prod­ucts Southern SportMods and 19 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.  Inaugural champion Chris Elliott from Abilene looks to defend his Modified crown as the stacked field of racers will try to figure out how to put together a championship run. IMCA Modifieds will compete for a $1,500 prize every night, with an entry into the feature worth a $100 payday. Winners of these events will all be qualifiers for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
