Oklahoma, Texas dates set for IMCA Allstar Shootout

BELLS, Texas (July 2) – Fred Wojtek felt right at home Thursday night, on a track he’d only raced at once before.  Wojtek started on the pole and led start to finish in the Red River South Tour feature for IMCA Modifieds at Grayson County Speedway. He earned $1,000 and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth for the victory, which came ahead of Chris Elliott and 12th starting Cody Leonard. “I watched a couple races before and set up the car for the bottom. I had a feeling Chris would run the top. That’s where he won the tour race a couple years ago,” explained Wojtek, who’d run fifth that night, in his one previous outing at Bells. (April 13, 2022) – All-stars in three IMCA divisions see action each night of the May 25-29 All Star Shootout.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods both for $750 to win beginning with opening night Wednesday, May 25 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. The Shootout is then Texas-bound for shows Thursday, May 26 at Grayson County Speedway in Bells; Friday, May 27 at Boyd Raceway; Saturday, May 28 at Kennedale Speedway Park; and Sunday, May 29 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco.  All five race programs will be broadcast by IMCA.TV. KENNEDALE, Texas (July 21, 2022) – Even when they’re not racing for shares of a $20,000-plus purse, drivers can look forward to plenty of fun off the track at the Sept. 8-10 IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals. Kennedale Speedway Park and event promoter James Lopez reports that Fox Mechanical Air Conditioning & Heating out of Springtown has signed on as sponsor for the barbecue party in the pits Thursday night, with the Jeff Martin Band taking the stage that evening.
