ARDMORE, Okla. – Five nights of racing leading up to Memorial Day will prove memorable for Allstar drivers in three IMCA divisions.
The inaugural Allstar Shootout fueled by Fast Shafts features IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win, potential bonuses of $500 to as much as $3,000 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths May 26-30.
Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both run for $750 to win each night. All five Stock Car features will be All-Star qualifying events.
The Shootout replaces the recently canceled Red River Modified Tour and will be broadcast by IMCA.TV. Opening night is Wednesday, May 26 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore before the Shootout heads to Texas.
Grayson County Speedway in Bells hosts the Thursday, May 27 show, with events following at Boyd Raceway on Friday, May 28; at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday, May 29; and at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Sunday, May 30.
Modified drivers winning two Shootout features earn a bonus of $500, with a $750 bonus for three wins and a $2,000 bonus for four. Sweeping the week will be good for a well-deserved $3,000 bonus.
Minimum start money each night is $100 for the Modifieds and $50 for both Southern SportMods and Stock Cars.
No entry or registration fees will be charged and start times for Shootout dates are to be announced. More information is available on the Allstar Shootout Facebook page.
