Late arrival Werkmeister, Temeyer top Stock Car qualifiers BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5) – He got to town late but Casey Werkmeister joined Justin Temeyer as a Stock Car qualifying feature winner at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s on Friday night. A high school football coach, Werkmeister was on the sidelines when his team won on Thursday, drove part of the way to Boone after the game and completed the trip the next morning. He promptly won his heat, started third in the opening qualifier and sped to the win ahead of Rick Mahlberg, Michael Jaennette and Stefan Sybesma. Temeyer made his way to the front after starting 10th in the nightcap. John Heinz, Jake Masters and 13th starting Scott Pippert were next across the stripe. Strickler races with his idols and wins Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5) – Kyle Strickler enjoyed the privilege of racing with a lot of his idols as much as he did winning Friday’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational at Boone Speedway. Strickler led the last 23 circuits in the 30-lap Modified feature, on night five of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. He earned $1,230 – including lap money – for the victory, which came almost half a straightaway ahead of defending race winner Todd Shute. “This is such a big event. Winning this race ranks right up there,” he said. “When you look at the names of the drivers that were in it, a lot of them are my idols. Race of Champions qualifying for Modifieds, Stocks today at Super Nationals BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4) – Race of champions heats for Modifieds and Stock Cars and plenty of qualifying races for both divisions are on the Thursday schedule at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The first of five Sunoco Race Fuels RoC heats for the Stock Cars is on the track now at Boone Speedway. Twenty Stock Car heats precede half a dozen Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions heats for the Modifieds. Super Nationals nears car count record; Modifieds, Stocks begin qualifying today BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 3) – Day three of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s boasts the first qualifying races Modifieds and Stock Cars, while last-chance races are on the docket for Hobby Stocks and SportMods. McCollum wins 100th career Stock Car feature at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 30) – Jeff McCollum made history at Arlington Raceway on Saturday night when he won the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car feature. The victory was McCollum’s career 100th in the sanctioned division. Chris Meyer was the early leader, ahead of Brent Uecker. Lap six saw a yellow flag for a spun car in the first turn. McCollum restarted in the third row and shot through the field to take third place; he was then battling with Uecker, Dan Mackenthun and Shaun Bruns for the lead. By lap nine, McCollum was the leader with Mackenthun close behind. Uecker fell out on lap 10 but Mackenthun wasn’t giving up. Another caution flag came out on lap 16. On the restart Mackenthun got too high in turns three and four, losing two spots. McCollum was then challenged by Bruns but held on for the landmark win. Sport Compacts take turn in spotlight on day two at Super Nationals BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2) – Sport Compacts take their turn in the spotlight, on day two of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The full program for IMCA’s 4-cylinder class will be held Tuesday at Boone Speedway. Fifty-eight cars were signed in to fill the starting grid for six heat races.
