VINTON, Iowa (June 24, 2026) — Eight races in eight days at six tracks across Oregon produced three hard-fought championship battles during the 2026 IMCA Wild West Speedweek.
Matt Sanders captured his first career Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified Wild West Speedweek championship, edging Grey Ferrando by a single point to become the first driver to win Speedweek titles in two different divisions. The Brookings racer previously claimed the IMCA Northern SportMod crowns in 2024 and 2025.
Sanders pieced together one of the most consistent weeks of any competitor, collecting three feature victories, seven podium finishes and a perfect eight top-five finishes. Sanders scored wins on the first of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway, the second of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway, and in the Southern Oregon Speedway finale, while never finishing worse than fifth during the tour.
Ferrando remained in championship contention until the final checkered flag. The Scio driver matched Sanders with three feature victories at River City Speedway, the second of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway, and the first of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway, while recording six podium finishes and a perfect eight top-five efforts.
Kevin Williamson of Coburg finished third in points in the Superior Fuel Cells-owned No. 42. Williamson’s week was highlighted by his victory at the Douglas County Dirt Track and a runner-up finish on the second of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway. He finished with six top-five efforts and seven top-10 finishes.
Albany’s Bricen James secured fourth in the standings aboard the Schram Motorsports-owned No. 13. Despite setbacks of 21st on the first of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway and 15th at Douglas County Dirtrack, James rallied to record podium finishes on both nights at Coos Bay Speedway and in the Southern Oregon Speedway finale, finishing with six top fives and six top 10s.
Landyn Philpott of La Pine completed the top five in points. His best finish came with a seventh-place run at River City Speedway, and he added top-10 efforts on both nights at Coos Bay Speedway to cap his Speedweek campaign.
Sixth through 10th in points were Steve McCollough, Devon Reed, Marvin Mueller, Doug Coffman and Travis Rider.
Wild Defends Wild West Speedweek Stock Car Crown
B.J. Wild earned his second consecutive Speedweek championship by five points over his brother-in-law Chase Berkeley.
Wild, from Colville, Washington, by way of Redmond, assembled one of the most dominant Speedweek campaigns in recent memory. He captured victories at Sunset Speedway Park, both nights at Cottage Grove Speedway, the first of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway, and the Southern Oregon Speedway finale. He added a runner-up finish on the second of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway to finish with five victories, seven podiums, seven top-five finishes and top-10 results in every event.
Berkeley, also from Colville, kept the pressure on throughout the week with victories at River City Speedway and the second of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway. He added six podium finishes and a perfect eight top-five efforts, remaining within striking distance of the championship until the final checkered flag.
Tyler Pagel of Madras finished third in the championship chase after winning at the Douglas County Dirt Track. He also collected runner-up finishes on the first of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway and in the Southern Oregon Speedway finale, finishing with five podiums and perfect marks of eight top-five and eight top-10 finishes.
Coos Bay’s Toby McIntyre finished fourth in the standings thanks to a consistent week highlighted by a runner-up finish at River City Speedway. He also recorded top-five finishes on the first of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway and at the Douglas County Dirt Track, while posting top-10 results in all eight Speedweek events.
Cody Humphrey of Mulino rounded out the top five. Humphrey’s best finishes were runner-up efforts on the first of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway and at the Douglas County Dirt Track. He also added a third-place run on the second of two nights at Cottage Grove Speedway to finish with three podiums, four top-five efforts and seven top-10 finishes.
Sixth through 10th in points were Tallon Dubisar, Mitchell Ferguson, Jesse McIntyre, Peyton Reigard and P.J. Humphrey.

Points’ Consistency Delivers Wild West Speedweek Crown
Trevor Points captured his first career Speedweek championship by 20 points.
The Salem racer established himself as the driver to beat by winning the opening two races at Sunset Speedway Park and River City Speedway before adding another triumph on the first of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway. He completed the tour with three victories, seven podium finishes, seven top-five efforts and top-10 finishes in every event.
Rainier’s Kody Greer finished second in points after compiling one of the steadiest weeks of the tour. Greer’s best performances came with runner-up finishes at River City Speedway and both nights at Coos Bay Speedway. He added six top-five finishes and top-10 results in every event.
Lyle Yaeger of Winchester claimed third in the standings. His best finish was a third-place effort at Sunset Speedway Park, and he recorded three top-five finishes and five top-10 results during the tour.
Tyler Johnson of Laveen, Arizona, finished fourth in points after scoring his lone victory on the second of two nights at Coos Bay Speedway. He also finished second at Sunset Speedway Park, ending the week with two podium finishes, three top-five efforts and five top-10 results.
Roseburg’s Chad Knee completed the top five. Knee’s best finish was fourth at Sunset Speedway Park, and he added a fifth-place run at River City Speedway to finish with two top-five efforts and six top-10 finishes.
Sixth through 10th in points were Trevor Tiffee, Ricky Ashley, Talon Mulvey, Jordan Stevens and Jordan Henry.
