By Brian Neal  DONNELLSON, Iowa (Aug. 14) – Austen Becerra raced to Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod win number seven of the season at Pepsi Lee County Speedway Friday night. The evening’s finale saw Brandon Dale grab the early lead over Adam Birck and Becerra. On the restart, Becerra jumped back out front with Dale, Birck, Brayton Carter, Sean Wyett, Dylan Van Wyk and Jim Gillenwater battling two and three-wide for positions behind him. Just when it looked like Becerra would pull away, the final caution slowed him on lap 15 as Carter and Van Wyk got together.  Once again, Becerra grabbed the lead on the restart, with Birck and Dale close behind. By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 14) – Horicon’s Jeremy Christians celebrated another milestone in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with his 100th win Friday night at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Tyler Wendt paced the opening circuits of the Stock Car feature. Wendt locked in up top as Christians quickly worked his way to the runner-up position using the low groove and slipped by for the lead on lap four. Christians put his Victory Chassis on the cushion and pulled away from the field. A caution with three to go set up a dash to the checkers but no one had anything for Christians as he went uncontested en route to his 100th IMCA feature win. Wendt had his best run of the season to place second, Andy Kleczka rallied late to place to take third. “Fast” Eddie Muenster picked up his first IMCA Modified feature of the season. By Scott Owen SHAWANO, Wis. (Aug. 15) – It almost felt like déjà vu all over again Saturday as Konnor Wilkinski, Chucky Forstner and Jayden Schmidt returned to victory lane for the second week in a row at Shawano Speedway.   Lap one of the IMCA Modified feature saw Kevin Feck go from third to first to lead the field. Price ends PASS slump with Path Valley feature win

By Frank Buhrman  SPRING RUN, Pa. (Aug. 14) – Fleetwood teenager Landon Price found the antidote for a brief racing slump Friday night, capturing the 25-lap Pennsylvania Sprint Series feature at Path Valley Speedway. After an early-race battle for third with Garrett Bard, Price caught up with and passed leader John Walp and was untouchable from that point on in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car main event.  Price would have come into the night’s racing as a long shot. This was only his fourth Path Valley start, with a previous best of ninth, and ninth also was his best finish in his last six PASS events. A two-time winner last year in his first full season steering a RaceSaver car, the young chauffeur seemed headed in the wrong direction before Friday corrected that impression. His margin of victory was 2.571 seconds. “I was so nervous the whole race,” Price said in victory lane. “Those cautions just killed me. I kept getting tight getting into three and four. I was running in too hard, but there [Read More]
