Hobscheidt has just enough in the tank, takes $5,000 Iron Cup IMCA Modified checkers
JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 10) – All of eight tenths of a second made the difference in Monday night’s Iron Cup main event for IMCA Modifieds at Park Jefferson Speedway. Jacob Hobscheidt led the entire 35-lap feature but had to hold off a hard running Shane DeMey in the closing laps to pick up the $5,000 win by a fraction of a second. “I raced there a handful of times but never had any luck,” Hobscheidt said after matching his career-best payday. “The last four or five laps I was running out of fuel and doing whatever I could to keep the thing running.” Hobscheidt got the early jump on the field over fellow front row starter Bob Moore and cruised early.
