Sprint Series of Oklahoma, URSS team for Longdale Speedway battle

(Aug. 22) – Race thirteen on the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series 2017 season is set for this coming Saturday, Aug. 26 at Longdale Speedway in a co-sanctioned event with the Kansas-based United Rebel Sprint Series. Saturday’s feature winner earns $1,000. As if he needed any more incentive to score his first victory of the season, Jake Martens unoffi­cially comes into the night with 15-point lead over defending IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car national and Sprint Series of Oklahoma champion Andy Shouse. BOONE, Iowa – The opportunity for dirt track racing immortality awaits competitors at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Unique format adds to IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals draw

EAGLE, Neb. – While the list of drivers already pre-entered continues to grow, promoter Roger Hadan is busy multi-tasking two weeks before the start of the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nation­als. Early entries for the fifth annual event neared 120 as teams from 13 states are entered in the Aug. 31-Sept. 3 event at Eagle Raceway. “We’ve got the cars. By David Smith Jr. OBERLIN, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series is set for three straight nights of racing action in Kan­sas this weekend as the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car series heads to the Rooks County Fair­grounds in Stockton on Friday night, Aug. 18, before heading to Oberlin Speedway in Oberlin, Kansas for the annual Bob Salem Memorial on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19-20. Current URSS leader Zach Blurton holds a slim 12-point advantage over Steven Richardson while Jed Werner is just 24-points out of the point lead. ADA, Minn. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win each night of the Aug. 17-20 Sanders Modified Challenge Tour, along with shares of a $7,000 point fund. It’s Ardmore and Lawton this weekend for Sprint Series of Oklahoma 

By David Smith Jr. OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – A huge weekend double-header awaits the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. The tour will make a Friday, Aug. 18 appearance at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore before making its inaugural appearance at Lawton Speedway for a Saturday, Aug. 19 event atop the famed red clay quarter-mile oval. The SSO has been scheduled four previous times this 2017 race season with Mother Nature hav­ing its way twice. Michael Day won the last time the series visited Ardmore back on June 23 while Chad Koch took the series opener back on March 25. IMCA Modifieds chase $1,000 Benefit Weekend check at Idaho Falls 

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho – Night two of Idaho Falls Raceway EIRMC Auxiliary Benefit Weekend will be headlined by IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win along with a berth on the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Sanctioned Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are on Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 19 programs at Idaho Falls. More money is also on the line Saturday for Northern SportMods as they run for $500 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Allstar Performance State and track points will be awarded both nights in both divisions. Modifieds also earn Larry Shaw Racing Western Region points and a $500 bonus will be paid to the Modified driver sweeping the weekend. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 7 p.m. Saturday. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and over and veterans with military ID, $6 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under.
