257 Stock Cars set Super Nationals record as Damon Murty and Larson top qualifying features

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2023) – A driver’s who’s been there and done that will try to do it again Saturday night, while another driver who’s been there and come close will try to win his first IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s championship. Damon Murty, who counts the 2018 championship among 18 career appearances in the main event, and Jeffrey Larson, who fourth in the 2015 Big Dance, won qualifying features Wednesday night at Boone Speedway. A record 257 Stock Cars are included in another record total, the 1,013 cars that have seen Super Nationals action this week at Iowa’s Action Track. Super Nationals dreams closer to reality for Thornton, Laney

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2023) – A couple drivers with California connections saw their IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s dreamin’ become closer to reality. Dylan Thornton, late of Orcutt, and Cody Laney of Torrance both won features as Modified qualifying began Wednesday night. One of the two will sit on the pole for the start of Saturday’s Big Dance at Boone Speedway Thornton, the 2022 pole starter, won the first qualifier ahead of Austin Kuehl, 2011 and 2017 champion Richie Gustin, and Ricky Alvarado while Laney, the 2021 Super Nationals champ, took the checkers ahead of last year’s runner-up Kollin Hibdon, Zane DeVilbiss and  2010 champ Jimmy Gustin. Hubbell, Reimers top Wednesday’s last-chance features

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2023) – Cody Hubbell and Cam Reimers both led from the first lap to the last lap in winning their respective IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s last-chance qualifiers Wednesday at Boone Speedway. Hubbell won the Hobby Stock 25-lapper ahead of Andrew Burk, Tanner Jones, 19th starting Luke Bedford, defending champion Zach Olmstead and Brandon Bombardo. Olmstead had started 24th; Bombardo had been scored seventh and was promoted up to the final qualifying spot by the post-race disqualification of Jason Kohl. Reimers prevailed in another 25-lapper as the Northern SportMods ended their last-chance race with 16 fast green flag circuits. NAPA Racing Fan Zone hosts busy slate off-track Super Nationals activities

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 1, 2023) – The NAPA Racing Fan Zone will be the hub of off-track activities throughout the week of the 41stannual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. BOONE, Iowa  (Aug. 30, 2023) – Chandler Fullenkamp and Chuck Ledbetter have assured themselves places in event history nearly a week before the start of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Fullenkamp, a Sport Compact driver from West Point, Iowa, became the 1,000th driver to pre-register for the 41st annual Super Nationals, slated Sept. 4-9 at Boone Speedway. Minutes later Tuesday afternoon, Hobby Stock driver Chuck Ledbetter of Loomis, Neb., became the record-breaking 1,005th to do so.
