MESQUITE, Texas – The continued growth of IMCA’s RaceSaver Sprint Car division is seen by more new awards given by Smiley’s Racing Products. The Mesquite, Texas, high-performance parts manufacturer and distributor rewards each track and series champion in the division with a $50 gift card. New track and series sanctions for the class have been already been announced in Iowa, Louisiana, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Texas. Koch utilizes high side to capture Sprint Series of Oklahoma opener

(March 25) – The Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series presented by Smiley’s Racing Products opened its 2017 race season Saturday night and when all said and done it was Chad Koch leading the final five laps to capture his first-ever victory with the series at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. This event was co-sanctioned with the Sprint Series of Texas IMCA Racesaver Sprint Series. The fourth starting Koch quickly moved into the runner-up position, utilizing the top of the oval while leader Jake Martens worked the bottom. The leader began approaching slower cars on lap 11. Martens built a full-stretch lead that was erased by the final caution of the night, on lap 13. Koch got a run around Martens to take the lead on the next circuit. West Liberty Raceway to hold pre-season open practice

By Jerry Mackey WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – The West Liberty Raceway located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds, will kick off the stock car racing season this Saturday, April 1 with an open practice session for all drivers planning on racing on Saturday nights at one of the longest running dirt tracks in the state of Iowa. The pit gates will open at 11 a.m. with practice slated to take the green flag at 1 p.m. Grandstand admission will be free although there will be a charge to get into the pits to cover insurance costs. All drivers will have plenty of opportunities to dial their new cars in for the opening event of the season which will be held Saturday, April 8 as the Deery Brothers Summer Series will come to town. Four Hall Of Fame inductees set for Luxemburg Speedway Aug. 18

LUXEMBURG, Wis. – A trio of former Luxemburg Speedway promoters and a veteran driver still giving the youngsters a run for their money weekly will be inducted into Luxemburg Speedway’s Hall of Fame on Friday, Aug. 18. Tri Star Promotions members Kelly and Debbie Hafeman and Ralph Aschenbrenner along with Green Bay’s Jerry Muenster will be ushered into the track’s Hall of Fame. Tri Star Promotions promoted the weekly racing at Luxemburg Speedway for 13 seasons from 1989 through 2001. During their tenure the track boasted some of the highest weekly IMCA car counts nationwide. Kelly Hafeman himself is a former IMCA Modified champion. Muenster was the Luxemburg Speedway track champion in 1968. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Marshalltown Speedway opens with one of the highest paying events of the season for IMCA Modifieds, the $10,000 to win March 30-April 1 World Nationals. The 11th annual World Nationals is IMCA sanctioned and open to Modified competitors using claim or crate engine options. The minimum $500 to start feature is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. 34 Raceway rolls out red carpet for April 1 Deery Series opener

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – The track that hosted the first Deery Brothers Summer Series event rolls out the red carpet for the first IMCA Late Model tour event of the season next Saturday, April 1. The Deery Series returns to 34 Raceway for a $2,000 to win, minimum $300 to start opening night feature. Forty-eight previous events have been held at West Burlington, more than at any other track, in the tour’s 30-year history. Gregg too tough in IMCA Modified feature at Junction’s Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw

McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (March 18-19) – Once the green flag flew, Justin Gregg knew he had the car to beat in Sunday’s Mike Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw main event at Junction Motor Speedway. When the checkers came out, he had the $1,000 check to prove it. Gregg led all 25 circuits in the Fast Shafts All-Star ballot qualifier.
