Raffurty is Sunday star at Boone with repeats in ROC, IMCA Mod Lite championship event

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2022) – Dillon Raffurty had to know his biggest fan had the best seat in the house to watch Sunday’s STARS Mod Lite championship event at the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Having already repeated as winner of the race of champions earlier in the afternoon at Boone Speedway, the Kansas City, Mo., star made it back-to-back Super Nationals titles after running second much of the 30-lapper behind Brandon Freeburg. The two raced hard with light contact in turn three, Freeburg caught an infield tire and Raffurty somehow avoided becoming part of a calamity at the front of the fast-moving field. Bubak is best in RoC, championship show at 10th annual IMCA RaceSaver Nationals

(Sept. 4, 2022) – Now that was the way to finish the biggest RaceSaver Sprint Car event in the world, as Jake Bubak added two trophies from the 10th annual IMCA RaceSaver Nationals to his hardware collection. Bubak won the Precise Racing Products Race of Champions for the third time on Saturday night, then raced to a second RaceSaver Nationals crown and $3,000 on Sunday at Eagle Raceway. Also the 2020 champion, Bubak took his final win of the weekend ahead of John Carney II, defending race winner Tyler Drueke and Chase Brewer. “We really enjoy coming here. Alvarado looks to punch ticket for IMCA Super Nationals Championship Night

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2022) – Among the many drivers returning to Boone Speedway for the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s is Friesen Performance IMCA Modified pilot Ricky Alvarado, who makes the trek from Delta, Colo. Alvarado is hoping to punch his ticket for Championship Night on Saturday. He ran on opening night of the the Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone and finished 11th. “We struggled with the car at the Prelude but we found a bit of a problem with the pull bar,” said Alvarado. “That made us feel a bit better that it happened then rather than during a qualifying feature.” Alvarado has raced his way into two Big Dances at Boone, exiting early in the 2012 show and then finishing ninth in 2017. Ward tops IMCA Modified feature at record Prelude opener

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 3, 2022) – Tim Ward warmed up for the history-making 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s by making some history of his own. Ward became the first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver to win a career second Prelude feature at Boone Speedway Saturday night, following his 2021 run to the checkers with an impressive $1,500 victory. The record number of entries for opening night of the eighth annual Prelude included 139 Modifieds, 134 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, 57 Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and 71 IMCA STARS Mod Lites. Ward motored past 2016 race winner Jimmy Gustin on the 14th of what proved to be 30 caution-free laps. Californian Jerry Flippo got the best of Gustin in their late battle for second. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 3, 2022) – Jason Masengarb renews his pursuit of his first IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s championship from the pole. Dillon Raffurty will take the green flag from Masengarb’s immediate right when he races for his second. Both won STARS Mod Lite qualifying features during Saturday’s record-setting Prelude program at Boone Speedway. Tim Ward looks to better 2021 IMCA Super Nationals success

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 3, 2022) – Last September, Tim Ward captured the checkered in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event in the Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway. The Chandler, Ariz., transplant now racing out of Harcourt, Iowa, backed up the Prelude run with a runner-up finish in the Big Dance on the final evening of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. “Last year, winning the Prelude gave us a ton of confidence and momentum going into the Super Nationals,” commented Ward. “We had a good car, so it helped us a lot.” Ward has made the Big Dance four times since 2016 and has finished in the top 10 twice. Record 1,004 pre-entries for 40th annual IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – The records continue to fall before the first green flag of the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s even waves. The number of drivers pre-entered hit 1,004 Friday morning, 82 more than the previous mark set last year. 2022 entries come from a record 29 states and four Canadian provinces. “Super Nationals has been the biggest event not only in IMCA but in all of dirt track racing for much of its history,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “We are honored that so many drivers want to be part of the 40th annual event. Qualifying starts tonight at RaceSaver Nationals

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2022) – The first night of the 10th annual IMCA Racesaver Nationals went off without a hitch Thursday evening at Eagle Raceway. Mother Nature cooperated, giving us a beautiful afternoon and evening with a nice breeze as the fans watched several sets of hot laps to allow the out-of-towners a chance to get reacclimated with the high-banked 1/3-mile oval. After hot laps were done there were five heats of IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars attempting to be a part of Saturday’s Race of Champions. Plenty of Sprints were on hand, with a good deal more expected on site as quite a few of the regulars at America’s Home Track will join them in the house beginning on Friday. Tonight’s action kicks off with hot laps at 5 p.m. and racing to start at 6 p.m. to set the front three rows of three cars for Sunday’s Big Dance. B & B All-Star Invitational eligible list adds three

VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – Three more drivers will contend for starting spots in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. Nathan Ballard and Aaron Spangler both won weekly qualifying events while former IMCA Late Model driver Mike Smith now of Kellogg won the First Time Winner special at Boone Speedway. Dallon Murty and Elijah Zevenbergen also won qualifying events but were already eligible.
