Three more former race winners, three first-time starters join Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational field 

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 4) – Three more former race winners, along with a trio of first-time honorees are among the second group of drivers elected to start the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional. Jay Noteboom (2005 and 2008), Chris Abelson (2011) and Todd Shute (2013) return to the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s with All-Star victories on their re­sumes. Steven Bowers Jr., Clay Money and Jeremy Payne make their first All-Star starts on Friday, Sept. 8 at Boone Speedway. Three All-Stars from each of the five IMCA Modified regions, were elected in the first round of vot­ing. The next 13 All-Stars were elected through at-large balloting from the 116 remaining candi­dates. Also advancing from the second round to the All-Star starting field are Kyle Brown, Corey Dripps, Darin Duffy, Mike Jergens, Jeff Taylor, Tim Ward and Jason Wolla. IMCA focused on best event in Super Nationals history

BOONE, Iowa – Drivers and fans won’t see a lot of changes in the facility or the format when they pull into Boone Speedway for the Sept. 4-9 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. And IMCA President Brett Root believes that’s a good thing. “There are no race night changes. There were no major changes to the speedway since last year’s Super Nationals. This year we can focus on logistics and putting on the best event possible,” he said. “We are positioned to putting on the best event in the 35-year history of Super Nationals.” Southern SportMods joined the opening night card when they were added to the program last year and the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models moved to Thursday. 131 IMCA Modified drivers on ballot for Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational 

BOONE, Iowa (July 22) – One hundred and thirty-one IMCA Modified drivers are on the ballot for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Twenty-eight of the 30 starters in the Sept. 8 race at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway will be elected in a pair of polling sessions. Three drivers from each of the five regions for IMCA Modifieds will be elected during polling from July 24-27; 13 more will be elected from an at-large pool be­tween July 31 and Aug. 3. All voting will be conducted through the IMCA Facebook page. Completing the starting grid for the 30-lapper will be All-Star candidates with the top national point to­tal and the most 40-point feature wins as of Aug. 31 competing at Super Nationals. Warrior nominations sought for honorary starters of last-chance Super Nationals Modified features

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA drivers and fans are asked to Nominate A Warrior as an honorary starter for each of the three last-chance Modified features on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Current or former service members are eligible; letters or emails of nomination should be 500 words or less and tell about the nominee and their service to our country. Nominations should be directed to Marketing Director Kevin Yoder at the IMCA home office or kyoder@imca.com. “We enjoy this opportunity to honor those who have or are currently serving our country in the armed forces,” Yoder said. “Super Nationals is our biggest event and it is a privilege for us to recognize them on championship day at Boone Speedway.” All three honorary starters will be recognized that afternoon when officials from Casey’s General Store and IMCA present a check to Hope For The Warriors.

Boone’s 50th anniversary special event combines with Prelude to Sept. 4-9 IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – As its name would imply, Boone Speedway’s 50th anniversary event will serve as a Prelude to the World’s Largest Dirt Track Event. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods fill the card at the Saturday, Sept. 2 Prelude, giving early arrivals for the Sept. 4-9 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s another night on Iowa’s Action Track. The Modified feature will be a qualifying event for next fall’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. 2017 Super Nationals logo required for best appearing car contest 

BOONE, Iowa – There’s no particular theme, just one important requirement for Modified and Northern SportMod drivers planning to enter the Best Appearing Car contest for their respective divisions at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. In addition to required decals for the divison, entries must incorporate the 2017 Super Nationals logo, in original and unaltered colors, in the overall design. The logo must be a minimum of 20 inches wide and 13 inches tall and located on the nose or side of the car. “Designs can and should be unique,” commented IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “I will email the logo to graphics companies and anyone else who needs the logo can contact me at the IMCA home office.” Golden Empire Towing of Bakersfield, Calif., awards $200 in cash to drivers of the cars judged best appearing in both divisions. Super Nationals pre-registration begins

BOONE, Iowa – Pre-registration for the biggest event in all of dirt track racing is underway. Entry forms for the 35th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, to be held Sept. 4-9 at Boone Speedway, are now posted on both the IMCA (www.imca.com) and track (www.raceboone.com) websites. Pit stall applications are also posted on both sites. Drivers must have 2017 competitor’s licenses and have completed the pre-registration process before they can reserve pit spots. Entry fees, if paid before Aug. 25, are $40 for Modifieds, $50 for Late Models, $25 for Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods, and $15 for Sport Compacts. Super Nationals competitors can also pre-enter by calling the IMCA home office at 319 472-2201.

Casey’s General Store marks fifth season of support for Super Nationals, Deery Series

ANKENY, Iowa – The Official Convenience Store of IMCA marks its fifth season of sponsorship in 2017, continuing invaluable support of Super Nationals and the Deery Brothers Summer Series. Casey’s General Store continues its presenting sponsor role for the IMCA Speedway Motors Su­per Nationals, scheduled Sept. 4-9 at Boone Speedway. Casey’s also returns as title spon­sor for the redraw at each IMCA Late Model tour main event. The 2017 season is the second in the latest three-year partnership agreement between Casey’s and IMCA. Casey’s and IMCA both donate $10 to Hope for the Warriors on behalf of each heat winner during the week of Super Nationals. That organization, which serves post-9/11 service members and their families, has received more than $20,000 in the past four events.
