24 states, Canada, Australia represented in early Super Nationals entries

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 1) – With less than a week before the first green flag flies, more than 600 drivers from 24 states, two Canadian provinces and Australia are already pre-entered for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Opening night for the 33rd annual event is Monday, Sept. 7. Late Model, Sport Compact, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod, Stock Car and Modified champions will be crowned by the time the final checkers fly on Saturday, Sept. 12. The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and race of champions events for Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and Hobby Stocks complete the headline races at the greatest show on dirt. Some $275,000 in purse money will be paid out and another $60,000 in contingencies awarded. Fan Zone continues to be site of off-track activities during week of Super Nationals 

BOONE, Iowa – When attention turns from the race track, fans will have plenty to see and do through­out the week of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The Fan Zone, located south of the main grandstands at Boone Speedway, will be the location for nu­merous events each day of America’s Racin’ Vacation Sept. 7-12. On Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7, the Casey’s General Store redraw for starts in the front six rows of that evening’s Deery Brothers Summer Series event will be held at approximately 7 p.m. Card games to determine the starting grid for Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock race of champi­ons events will be held at approximately 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Eastern Region point leader delays start of senior year to race at Super Nationals

MONROETON, Pa. – The start of Keith Lamphere’s senior year at Towanda High School will have to wait. He’s coming to Boone. Lamphere, 17 years old as of July 17, a three-year veteran of the IMCA Modified division and the cur­rent point leader in Dirt Works Eastern Region, will make his first competitive trip to the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals next month. “As a driver, Super Nationals has always been on my bucket list,” said Lamphere. “My cousin (Logan Terry) also races a Modified and told me about Super Nationals. I watched it on TV before going with Jason Ben­jamin to watch last year.” Benjamin shares space in Lamphere’s Monroeton, Pa., shop and will join him on the 1,000-plus mile trip out west. Casey’s Super Nationals wristbands redeemable for fountain drink 

BOONE, Iowa – Both week-long and Saturday-only Casey’s General Store pit admission wristbands can be redeemed for a 32 ounce fountain drink on the way home from the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The offer is good at any participating Casey’s between Sept. 12-19. Casey’s is the official convenience store of IMCA and presenting sponsor of Super Nationals. Other wristband sponsors during the week are Speedway Motors on Monday, Mitchell Machine on Tuesday, Allstar Performance on Wednesday, Eibach Springs on Thursday and Fast Shafts on Friday.

Prelude to the Super Nationals is Sept. 5 at Boone 

BOONE, Iowa – An Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified driver is going to be $1,000 richer before the first green flag flies for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The Saturday, Sept. 5 Prelude to the Super Nationals at Boone Speedway totes a $1,000 top prize for Modifieds. The winner also becomes vote eligible for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250. Task of keeping up with Jones falls to Modified foes at Super Nationals

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Justin Jones won a Modified track championship in his first IMCA season. He’ll chase another career highlight-type of accomplishment in his second. From Bemidji, Minn., the defending Buffalo River Race Park king makes his IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s debut in September. Liberty 100, Super Nationals shows next for Deery Series

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – A pair of $3,000 to win features for Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers are on the Saturday, Sept. 5 card during West Liberty Raceway’s Ready Mix Liberty 100 Weekend. IMCA Late Model tour points will be awarded for the first of those 50-lap features. The regular Deery purse will be paid at both. Early registration deadline now Sept. 3 for Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – With more than 500 early entries already in hand, the early registration deadline for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s has been bumped back to Thursday, Sept. 3. Drivers from more than 20 states, Canada and Australia have already pre-entered for the Sept. 7-12 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway. “We are still getting a lot of calls from drivers interested in competing at Super Nationals. They can call the home office (319 472-2201) to get pre-entered,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “Obviously, the sooner they get this done, the better.” “We would liked to have extended this deadline by one more day,” he added, “but we’ll be finalizing Late Model points early next week and trying to get a lot of things done before we go to Boone.”

Duffer Nationals Golf Tourney is Friday during Super Nationals 

BOONE, Iowa – Cedar Pointe Golf Course is site of the 26th annual Duffer Nationals Tournament, to be held Friday, Sept. 11. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. for the four-person best best shot tournament. Cost is $40 per person, which includes nine holes of golf, a golf cart and lunch. Entries will be taken right up until tee time. Each team must have at least one Super Nationals participant in order to compete. The winning foursome earns $200 with $100 paid to the second place team. Remaining proceeds are donated to a local charity. First to register for Super Nationals, McCarthy now has sights on making the Saturday show

HUTTO, Texas – Now that he’s got one Super Nationals first under his belt, Mike McCarthy is hoping to accomplish bigger and better things at the 33rd annual version of America’s Racin’ Vacation. The Modified veteran from Hutto, Texas, was first to pre-register for the Sept. 7-12 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Like all of the 800-plus drivers making the trip to Boone Speedway next month, McCarthy has his sights set on making the Saturday night main event. “We always have a good time at Super Nationals. We never pit by the same people, so we make new friends every year,” said McCarthy, known as the ‘unofficial security guy’ during overnight hours at the track. “It’s one of the best races in the country to watch.
