
Ryan, Von Dresky, Olson double-up at Davenport
By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 15) – Three drivers scored their second wins of the season Friday at Davenport Speedway. Matt Ryan made it two-for-two in the Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models. Joe Zrostlik started on the pole and led the first 14 laps. Ryan flew by on lap 15 and led the rest of the way. Brunson Behning started fifth and got close to Ryan a couple times but had to settle for second. Todd Malmstrom came from deep in the field to finish third. Another full field of Milan Heating & Air IMCA Modifieds were on hand and the result was the same as Tony Von Dresky collected his second straight feature win. Chris Lawrence got to the front early in the race but on a lap four restart gave up the spot to Doug Crampton. Seconds later, Crampton’s car suddenly slowed.
