Quad City hosts May 4 Hershel Roberts Memorial Deery

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (April 29) – The Hershel Roberts Memorial has known no other winner than Ray Guss Jr. Guss, from Milan, will try to win the Deery Brothers Summer Series event held to honor his late friend, car owner and fellow driver for the fourth straight time this Sunday, May 4 at Quad City Speedway. The IMCA Late Model tour feature pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Electric City postpones Spring Roundup to May 2-3

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (April 24) – Electric City Speedway has postponed its season-opening Montana Spring Roundup to next Friday and Saturday, May 2-3. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds run for $500 to win and a minimum of $75 to start in their first appearances in Montana since the mid-1990s. An open practice starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. BST Sprint Series opens this weekend at Phillips County, I-76

HOLYOKE, Colo. (April 23) – IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars make their Colorado debut this weekend, with BST Series dates at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke and I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan. Racing starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Phillips County. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are also on the card . JACKSON, Minn. (April 23) – Opening night of the third annual Redline Racing Parts North Star Series takes five IMCA divisions to Jackson Speedway this Saturday night. The April 26 lidlifter sees IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts in action. IMCA Late Model point season starts April 25

VINTON, Iowa (April 22) – Opening night for the 2014 IMCA Late Model point season is this Friday, April 25. Points will be awarded through Sunday, Aug. 31. Regular Friday night sanctions are at Davenport Speedway, Farley Speedway and the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines. Saturday tracks are Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Independence Motor Speedway, Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Shelby County Speedway in Harlan and West Liberty Raceway. Sunday sanctions are at Dubuque Speedway and Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Ill. Eight midweek dates, all but one of them on Wednesdays, are scheduled at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. Benton County Speedway in Vinton, I-35 Speedway in Mason City and Stuart Speedway each host four events in the inaugural IMCA Late Model Sunday Series. SHAWANO, Wis. – Due to wet track conditions and forecasts calling for more precipitation and low temperatures, Shawano Speedway has postponed opening night from this Saturday, April 26 to May 3. Northern SportMod special Wednesday at Southern Iowa

OSKALOOSA, Iowa – John’s Tree Service and Carter Manufacturing sponsor the $750 to win Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod special Wednesday night, April 23. Feature distance for the third annual event will be 30 laps with a pit stop at halfway. Drivers and their crews can make any repairs or changes, but can’t touch the front tires, in the allotted time. Wednesday is also opening night for the Mach-1 Sport Compacts and both divisions will be draw/redraw. Also racing will be the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.
