Weekly racers ready to go Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Between rainouts and special events at U.S. 36 Raceway, a month has passed since the weekly competitors at all competed on the same night.  Friday, June 12, the weekly racers ready to challenge the high banks once again. The IMCA Modi­fieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods are all on lineup.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for military and seniors (with ID) and children 12 and younger are free. Racing canceled for June 5 at U.S. 36, Bud Shootout postponed to June 19

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to overnight rains both Wednesday and Thursday night, track officials have canceled racing for June 5 at U.S. 36 Raceway. The Bud Shootout is postponed to June 19. The property and track is too wet and with the recently reworked track surface officials want to continue to strive for a smooth racing surface for both drivers and fans. The Bud Shootout on June 19 will feature the Sprint Series of Nebraska. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will also be in action with the Doyle Lance Remembrance Stock Car Race. Other classes will be announced at a later date.  Up next at U.S. 36 Raceway is a return to the weekly championship chase, and the racing on Friday, June 12 will feature the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Budweiser Shootout Friday at U.S. 36

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, June 5, is the Budweiser Shootout at U.S. 36 Raceway. The Sprint Series of Nebraska headlines the event. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are also racing.  The Sprint Series of Nebraska pays $700 to win and $250 to start. IMCA RaceSaver Sprints have heat race bonuses as well as $75 goes to each heat race winner, $50 to second and $25 to third.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and chil­dren 12 and younger are free. Rain wins out at U.S. 36 Raceway for May 29

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to rain and saturated grounds, U.S. 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for May 29.  Up next at U.S. 36 Raceway is the Bud Shootout featuring the Sprint Series of Nebraska and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children and 12 and younger are free.

Track title quests continue at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – With Modified Madness in the rear view mirror, the IMCA divisions racing for track championships continue the battle this Friday, May 29 at U.S. 36 Raceway.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern­SportMods are all set to hit the high banks. The pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 and the first heat race at 8 p.m.  Tickets for the event are $15. Modified Madness checkers fly for Sobbing, Harker rules SportMod Shootout at U.S. 36

(May 22) – There were many storylines headed into Modified Madness at U.S. 36 Raceway, such as increased payouts and the Wayne Hicks Memorial SportMod Shootout, but the biggest storyline remained with the track. Throughout the week, thanks to Shaw Excavating and the many people involved, the track at U.S. 36 received a complete makeover to improve track conditions. The storyline at the end of the night no longer was about the track, it was about the racing on it. The track raced multi-grooved and smooth all night long and let the racers go after a chance to reach Westfall GMC Victory Lane. Modified Madness was headlined by the IMCA Modifieds and the drivers chasing the $1,066 winner’s check. Jesse Sobbing led the race from start to finish, but it didn’t come without challenges from several different drivers. Modified Madness on Memorial Weekend at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Modified Madness is set for Friday, May 22 at U.S. 36 Raceway and the three IMCA divisions running have an increased payout for this special event.  IMCA Modifieds headline the program, along with the Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars.  Modifieds are racing for $1,066 to win and $125 to start their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. The Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout pays $1,066 to win and $100 start. To add to the fun, the Sprint Cars are racing for $750 to win and $150 to start.  As drivers prepare for race day, they will hit a track that has seen some change over the last week. Racing canceled at US 36 Raceway for May 15

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to overnight rains, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for May 15.  US 36 Raceway officials do not want the track to break up and after last week feel it is in the best interest of our racers and teams to cancel today’s race. This upcoming week, US 36 Raceway is bringing in a crew and equipment to help completely rework the racetrack to improve the racing surface before the next event. Sprint Series of Nebraska, Fast Shafts qualifier for IMCA Modifieds on Friday ticket at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, May 15, U.S. 36 Raceway welcomes the Sprint Series of Nebraska for its first appearance of 2020.  U.S. 36 has also added a $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying IMCA Modified show to the night’s events. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are also racing. Sobbing, Drueke, Baumli, Stallbaumer win U.S. 36 Raceway openers

(May 8) – After a long wait for racing to return to the high banks of U.S. 36 Raceway, more than 100 IMCA entries hit the track on opening night Friday, May 8.  In the IMCA Modifieds, Kelsie Foley, out of Tucson, Ariz., led the first half of the feature. Jesse Sobbing lurked behind as he methodically worked his way through the field. Using the high line, Sobbing worked around Foley and led the remaining laps to win the opening Modified race of 2020. Chad Andersen charged from a ‘B’ feature and 15th place starting position to finish second, with Foley third.  Tyler Drueke dominated the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature, leading every lap and cruising to West­fall GMC Victory Lane. Stuart Snyder finished second, with Cincinnati, Ohio driver Saben Bibent in the third spot.  J.J. Baumli made quick work of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field, jumping to the early lead out of the fourth starting position.
