Budweiser Shootout Friday at U.S. 36

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, June 5, is the Budweiser Shootout at U.S. 36 Raceway. The Sprint Series of Nebraska headlines the event. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are also racing. 

The Sprint Series of Nebraska pays $700 to win and $250 to start. IMCA RaceSaver Sprints have heat race bonuses as well as $75 goes to each heat race winner, $50 to second and $25 to third. 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and chil­dren 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.

US 36 Raceway postpones Missouri IMCA Nationals to Oct. 25 and 26

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to the weekend forecast of thunderstorms and cold temperatures, US 36 Raceway officials have postponed the Missouri IMCA Nationals to Oct. 25 and 26.  Drivers from all across the region have planned to make the trip for the first ever event, and US 36 officials wanted to make the decision early to allow those drivers time to adjust their plans. Many contingency plans were discussed, and US 36 Raceway officials decided this to be the best possible option to complete a successful first ever event.  Friday, Oct. 25 will be a practice night for all divisions. Saturday, Oct. 26 will include heats, “B” features and main events to crown the first-ever Missouri IMCA Nationals champions. Barker banks big money following Joe Crist Memorial win at US 36

(July 30) – After a heartwarming opening ceremony set the stage for US 36 Raceway’s Joe Crist Memorial, Travis Barker went home with the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win and $2,062. Barker, already eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational, and Conner Masoner started on the front row and set the pace for the star-studded event.  Barker got the lead and saw Shadren Turner charge by and slide past, but not for long as Barker held the high line to perfection and drove back by Turner.  As Barker paced the field, Chad Clancy worked his way toward the front to challenge for the lead, pressuring Barker to make a bobble. Racing was fierce as throughout the field as Kasey Ayers challenged the frontrunners. Doug Keller was in contention all night as he, J.J. Baumli and Ayers battled. Masoner slowly faded as hard charger Blake Peeler, who had won the ‘B’ feature to advance, complted his advance from the 22nd starting position to challenge in the closing laps. [Read More]

United Rebel Sprint Series hosts Missouri doubleheader

OSBORN, Mo. – The POWRi Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing has two Missouri events on the schedule Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24.  Both races will pay $1,000 to win with $200 to start the “A” features. On Friday, July 23, competition will take place atop the 3/8-mile high banked resurfaced facility of US 36 Raceway in Osborn. The enhancements on the track have given fans and drivers excitement, with close, action-packed racing. Hot laps are slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m.  The United Rebel Sprint Series last visited US 36 Raceway in June for its first appearance in URSS history. Kansas native Jay Russell, walked away with the victory but it wasn’t without a fierce battle from Stu Snyder, Kenny Potter, Mike Houseman, Jr. and Ty Williams.  On Saturday, July 24, drivers and their teams will head 45 minutes northwest to the 3/8-mile semi-banked facility of Bethany Speedway for the second night of competition of the weekend.   The debut of the United Rebel [Read More]
