Racing canceled at US 36 Raceway for May 15

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to overnight rains, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for May 15. 

US 36 Raceway officials do not want the track to break up and after last week feel it is in the best interest of our racers and teams to cancel today’s race.

This upcoming week, US 36 Raceway is bringing in a crew and equipment to help completely rework the racetrack to improve the racing surface before the next event.

Up next at US 36 Raceway is Modified Madness on May 22, featuring the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Furrell is IMCA Mod Lite star at US 36

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (June 23, 2023) – Tyler Furrell was the Friday night star at US 36 Raceway, recording his career first Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature win. Furrell and James Beebe got out front at the drop of the green. Justin Raffurty challenged the front pair but neither were shaken and continued to battle up front as the always fast Dillon Raffurty made his march forward. As the laps wound down, Furrell continued to hold off all challengers and picked up his first-ever feature win with two-time defending national champion Dillon Raffurty a close second. Beebe showed a lot of speed in a solid third place showing with Michael Raffurty and Justin Raffurty completing the top five.

Spring Nationals this weekend at US 36

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (April 11, 2023) – After a spectacular opening Friday hight, the work to improve and bring fans the very best in racing action continues at US 36 Raceway. Spring Nationals are set for this Friday, April 14 featuring IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites.  Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing to follow.

Grossenbacher returns to US 36 to take $1,000 checkers at Budweiser Shootout 

OSBORN, Mo. (June 8) – It’s been a few years since he’s been to Osborn but Trevor Grossen­bacher showed he still knows how to get to the front at US 36 Raceway. Grossenbacher caught up with Tyler Drueke in traffic and made what proved to be the winning pass with four laps to go in Friday’s Budweiser Shootout feature for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. “The last time I ran here was five years ago,” said Grossenbacher, who earned $1,000 for the feature victory and another $200 for winning his heat race. “It’s a 2-1/2 hour trip for us but I’m sure we’ll go back. It was a fun night.” The fifth starting Drueke and fourth starting Grossenbacher ran 1-2 much of the 20-lapper, con­tested by 19 cars representing six states.
