Modified Madness on Memorial Weekend at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Modified Madness is set for Friday, May 22 at U.S. 36 Raceway and the three IMCA divisions running have an increased payout for this special event. 

IMCA Modifieds headline the program, along with the Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. 

Modifieds are racing for $1,066 to win and $125 to start their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. The Wayne Hicks Memorial Shootout pays $1,066 to win and $100 start. To add to the fun, the Sprint Cars are racing for $750 to win and $150 to start. 

As drivers prepare for race day, they will hit a track that has seen some change over the last week. With special thanks to Shaw Excavating, U.S. 36 Raceway has seen a complete makeover during the course of the week. In an effort to provide a better racing surface for both drivers and fans, the Shaw Excavating crew has helped with a complete reworking of the high banks. 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.

U.S. 36 Raceway encourages teams to register ahead of time if they have not already done so for this season. Online registration is available at https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/3461/registrations. Rain wins out at U.S. 36 Raceway for May 29

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to rain and saturated grounds, U.S. 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for May 29.  Up next at U.S. 36 Raceway is the Bud Shootout featuring the Sprint Series of Nebraska and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children and 12 and younger are free.

IMCA Modified Madness Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway roars into the Memorial Weekend with the second annual Miller Lite IMCA Modified Madness. The Friday, May 25 feature at Osborn pays $1,000 to win, a minimum of $130 to start and is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $400 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Missouri State and track points will be awarded. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military with ID, $6 for kids ages 7-12 and free for six and under. Morning thunderstorms force second postponement of Modified Madness

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. – Due to heavy morning thunderstorms, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for Friday, June 21. US 36 Raceway is determined to get Modified Madness presented by St. Joseph Beverage in, and it will be rescheduled for another date to be determined.  Next Friday, June 28 at US 36 Raceway is the Wayne Hicks Memorial SportMod Shootout. Karl Kustoms NorthernSport Mods will have the spotlight as they will also participate in the Shocker Chassis Six Pack Shootout.  The pits will open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands will open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 and racing begins at 8 p.m.
