IMCA opens loyalty bonus to all pre-registered Lone Star Tour drivers

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 9) – Due to the upcoming cancellation of the other stock car tour scheduled the week before the Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour, IMCA will extend the $500 loyalty bonus to all IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers registered to compete in the Lone Star Tour by 5 p.m. CST today (Tuesday). Registered drivers who ran in January at Corpus Christi will be eligible for that bonus. All tour races now pay those registered drivers a minimum of $1,500 to win. The big week of racing starts with the 24th annual Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway on Feb. 19, followed by opening night of the fourth annual tour at Abilene. The winner of the Friday, Feb. 19 Stock Car feature earns $3,000 while the winner’s share of the Saturday, Feb. 20 feature will be $2,000. ABILENE, Texas – The fourth annual Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars travels to six tracks in Texas and Oklahoma, with a $5,000 check waiting for the champion. Both IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win at Abilene Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 20, the second show of the Ice Breaker weekend; Sunday, Feb. 21 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco; Monday, Feb. 22 at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige; Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Grayson County Speedway in Bells; Friday, Feb. 26 at Kennedale Speedway Park; and Saturday, Feb. 27 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. IMCA Modified Red River Tour win puts Leonard on top of podium at Kennedale

KENNEDALE, Texas (July 4) – After third- and second-place showings in his previous IMCA Modified Red River South Tour starts, Cody Leonard stood on top of the podium Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park. Leonard caught Chris Elliott late in the Independence Day 25-lapper for the $1,000 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying victory. “We’ve had some good runs the last couple of nights,” the young Texan acknowledged. “After we missed opening night, we started 12th and finished third on Thursday at Bells and exceeded our expectations Friday at Waco to finish second. IMCA Modifieds race for $1K at Red River Tour shows

ARDMORE, Okla. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths each night of the Lone Star Super Gas Red River Tour South presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. Opening night for the third annual tour is Wednesday, July 1 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, with events to follow July 2 at Grayson County Speedway, July 3 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, July 4 at Kennedale Speedway Park and July 5 at Boyd Raceway. Ken Schrader will follow the tour, which has no entry fee any night. Mufflers are required at KSP and at Boyd. Green gets another IMCA Lone Star win, Abbey earns bonus, Stock Car tour crown

KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 22) – Derek Green got another win while Westin Abbey got a tour championship and a big check Saturday night at Kennedale Speedway Park. Green, from Granada, Minn., prevailed in a $1,000 to win Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour finale that saw him trade the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car lead with Ryan Powers three times in the final laps before beating Jesse Sobbing to the finish line. Home state hero Abbey, meanwhile, put the final, perfect tour attendance qualifying touches on a $10,000 bonus he’d made himself eligible for by winning features at Abilene Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. Bragg gets 100th IMCA win at opener for Red River Tour

By Jackson Braun KENNEDALE, Texas (May 25) – Career win number 100 for Chris Bragg came on the big stage of opening night of the Lone Star Super Gas IMCA Red River Modified Tour presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. Bragg led all 25 laps of a main event that ran caution-free Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park, negotiating lapped traffic while holding off Tyler Stevens and Chris Morris. Bragg became the 55th driver in division history to reach the 100-win mark with the $1,500 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying victory. “This is definitely a career highlight. I’ve qualified at Super Nationals a couple times and I’ve been elected to the All-Star race. To do this is pretty cool, too,” he said. “It’s been a lot of work but it’s been a lot of fun. 2019 IMCA Red River Modified Tour set to start this weekend, May 25-31

If the quality of racing from last year is any indication, everyone is in for a treat during the tour’s second running. Eighty-one IMCA Modifieds have registered, along with 62 Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and 19 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Inaugural champion Chris Elliott from Abilene looks to defend his Modified crown as the stacked field of racers will try to figure out how to put together a championship run. Allen races to Red River IMCA Modified Tour win at Kennedale

By Spieker Promotions KENNEDALE, Texas (May 26) – Chase Allen scored the opening night win of the inaugural Red River IMCA Modified Tour at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Allen claimed the lead on lap 11 of the 25-lap event before having to hold off Jeffrey Abbey in the closing stages. Eric Tomlinson started on the outside of the front row and led the field of 24 on the opening lap. Tomlinson pulled away in the early laps, building a six-car length lead as several cars raced for second. Abbey won the battle for second and set his sights on Tomlinson for the lead. Abbey closed the gap on lap eight and put heavy pressure on Tomlinson as the lead duo fought for position on the low side of the speedway. KENNEDALE, Texas – Rain might have had the upper hand on the original race date but IMCA drivers in four divisions will race for even bigger paydays at Kennedale Speedway Park’s rescheduled Summit Racing Equipment Showdown this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6 and 7. IMCA Modifieds are in the running for $2,500 to win their 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier while IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods all vie for $1,500 top checks. All four IMCA features pay a minimum of $200 to start and Modified, Stock Car and SportMod drivers racing both days who do not qualify for the main event get $100.
