Katelynn Robertson: Krazy Kate’s Road to Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage RENO, Nev. (Aug. 15, 2025) — One year ago, Katelynn Robertson stood in the grandstands at Boone Speedway, taking in her first IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. She wasn’t there to race — she was a wide-eyed spectator. “My jaw dropped as soon as I walked through the gates while racing was going on,” she remembered. “I was amazed by how great it is and how big it is. It’s definitely one of the coolest things I’ve been to.” This September, Robertson returns to Boone not to watch, but to compete. (Aug. 15, 2025) — At just 26 years old, Sheldon Oberle already holds a distinction no one else from his state can claim — the only Indiana native to win a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Full Slate of Vendors Announced for 2025 Speedway Motors Manufacturer’s Row

Changes come to qualifying for IMCA All-Star Invitationals

VINTON, Iowa (Dec. 20, 2024) – They say everything changes and for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational, those changes will be good. Both events return to the schedule for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, the fifth annual B & B All-Star race for Stock Cars to the Thursday, Sept. 4 program and the 22nd annual Fast Shafts All-Star race for Modifieds to the Friday, Sept. 5 card at Boone Speedway. Drivers in both divisions must have won sanctioned events paying at least $1,000 to win to become eligible for two rounds of fast time qualifying; drivers in either division who won sanctioned events paying $5,000 or more will be guaranteed starting spots in their respective fields of 30 cars. Previously, Stock Cars had to win events paying $750 and there were no automatic qualifying berths for Modifieds. Zane DeVilbiss earned an automatic berth in that event with his $10,000 checkers at Batesville Motor Speedway’s Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship. VINTON, Iowa (Oct. 3, 2024) – Eighteen IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers are already in contention for B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational honors in 2025. While IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s champion and inaugural race winner Kelly Shryock has guaranteed himself a starting spot in next year’s event, another 17 drivers in The Class Too Tough To Tame have won sanctioned events paying $750 or more to become eligible for next year’s event. Jake McBirnie topped the 2024 All-Star Invitational while Devin Smith paced the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions.
