Green makes good on pre-race promise to make a show of it at Jack Bagby Memorial

WACO, Texas (March 5) – Recognizing the tall task he faced, Kevin Green promised to make a show of it before lining up ninth on the IMCA Modified grid at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s season-opening Jack Bagby Memorial. Then he made good on that promise, earning $1,000 and a spot of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot along with the Friday night checkers. “We ran around the bottom a couple laps, then moved to the top and started passing some cars,” Green said. “We had drawn good for the heat, then went out and drew ninth for the feature. WACO, Texas – Opening night at Heart O’ Texas Speedway sees IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth Friday, March 5. Also on the card for the 55th anniversary season are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis South Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, KMJ Performance Texas State and track points are at stake. Pit gates open at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, military and students, $5 for kids 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30.

IMCA opens loyalty bonus to all pre-registered Lone Star Tour drivers

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 9) – Due to the upcoming cancellation of the other stock car tour scheduled the week before the Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour, IMCA will extend the $500 loyalty bonus to all IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers registered to compete in the Lone Star Tour by 5 p.m. CST today (Tuesday). Registered drivers who ran in January at Corpus Christi will be eligible for that bonus. All tour races now pay those registered drivers a minimum of $1,500 to win. The big week of racing starts with the 24th annual Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway on Feb. 19, followed by opening night of the fourth annual tour at Abilene. ABILENE, Texas – The fourth annual Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars travels to six tracks in Texas and Oklahoma, with a $5,000 check waiting for the champion. Both IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win at Abilene Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 20, the second show of the Ice Breaker weekend; Sunday, Feb. 21 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco; Monday, Feb. 22 at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige; Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Grayson County Speedway in Bells; Friday, Feb. 26 at Kennedale Speedway Park; and Saturday, Feb. 27 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. Leonard conquers Fall Classic IMCA Modifieds for career-best payday

WACO, Texas (Oct. 25) – The higher line took Cody Leonard to the IMCA Modified checkers and a career-best payday Sunday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Leonard raced from seventh in topping the Fall Classic field, earning $3,500 and a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. “It feels great. I kind of grew up watching the guys I’m racing with,” he said. “Racing with them is pretty cool. Red River repeat as Wojtek tops IMCA Modifieds at Waco

WACO, Texas (July 3) – Same story, different track. For the second time in as many nights, Fred Wojtek started on the pole and led all 25 laps in winning a Red River South Tour feature for IMCA Modifieds, earning $1,000 for his Friday green to checkered run at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. “It’s crazy that I drew the one again,” said Wojtek, the Thursday winner at Grayson County Speedway. “I didn’t believe I could do that.” After nearly getting collected by a lapped car halfway through, Wojtek stuck to the bottom line and held off a late challenge from Cody Leonard, then focused on hitting his marks the last two times around the track. ARDMORE, Okla. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths each night of the Lone Star Super Gas Red River Tour South presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars featured Friday at Heart O’ Texas

WACO, Texas – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars join the Friday lineup, racing for $750 to win and $100 to start on opening night of Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Quarantine Weekend. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Texas State points will be awarded to the winged warriors as well on May 29, as they join IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods for the draw/redraw show at Waco. Gates open at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $35. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, $5 for students ages 6-12 and free for ages five and under. Drivers will be allowed up to six people in their pit area and social distancing guidelines will be followed on both sides of the track. Face masks are recommended and hand sanitizer stations will be located around the facility.

Dialed in, Egbert drives to Jack Bagby Memorial win

WACO, Texas (March 6) – Quick to get a new car dialed in, P.J. Egbert was quick to get to the checkers and $1,000 IMCA Modified payday Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Jack Bagby Memorial. Egbert led all 20 laps, moving from the top of the track to the lower line and holding off David Goode Jr. the last five times around the oval. “Luck was on our side, getting to start on the front row,” said Egbert, wheeling a 2020 Lethal Chassis at the 23rd annual special. “We can’t complain at all.
