WACO, Texas – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s pre-holiday Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial will go home with plenty of green.
The final race of the Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 special pays $5,000 to win, with a guaranteed starting spot in the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at stake as well.
Runner-up money is $2,500 with $1,500 paid for third and $1,000 for fourth. Total purse for the main event is more than $17,000 and starting the 24-car headliner pays a minimum of $300.
All drivers will run two qualifying heats on opening night, with the top 20 in passing points advancing to a feature and the top five from that race advancing to the Saturday show. Heat races and qualifying features precede the Baby Blue Harcrow main event.
Registration fee on or before Friday is $50. Drivers racing Saturday only will pay $100.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded on Saturday.
IMCA Modifieds and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods race for points both nights. Track points, however, will not be awarded on Saturday.
Both programs are draw/redraw for all divisions. Pit gates open at 6 p.m., the draw closes at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. both nights. Pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for ages five and under.
More information is available on the track website and on Facebook.
Fireworks, of course, will also be a part of the Independence Day Weekend special.
