$3,500 is top IMCA Modified check at Heart O’ Texas Fall Classic

WACO, Texas – Both a check for $3,500 and a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot go to the IMCA Modified feature winner at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Fall Classic special Oct. 22-24.

The runner-up earns $2,000 with $1,000 for third. Saturday’s main event pays a minimum of $300 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods both race for $1,500 to win, $750 for second, $500 for third and a minimum of $100 to start.

Tow money is $100 for the Modifieds and $50 for both Stock Cars and SportMods. RACEceivers and transponders but not mufflers are required.

Pit passes are $20 while grandstand admission for Thursday’s practice is free. Gates open at 5 p.m. and practice starts at 6 p.m.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. on Friday. Gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. and the first green flag is at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and military. On Saturday, pit passes are $35 and spectator admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, students and military.

Kids ages 6-12 are $5 and five and under get in free both nights.

IMCA Modifieds race for $1K at Red River Tour shows

ARDMORE, Okla. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths each night of the Lone Star Super Gas Red River Tour South presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. Opening night for the third annual tour is Wednesday, July 1 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, with events to follow July 2 at Grayson County Speedway, July 3 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, July 4 at Kennedale Speedway Park and July 5 at Boyd Raceway. Ken Schrader will follow the tour, which has no entry fee any night. Mufflers are required at KSP and at Boyd. The July 3 Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Heart O’ Texas pays $1,500 to win and $100 to start. Stocks also race opening night at Ardmore and at Kennedale. Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods join all five programs.

Allen captures Dirt Dominator at Heart O’ Texas

By Mike Spieker WACO, Texas (May 25) – Chase Allen of Midlothian punched his ticket into the IMCA Modified Dirt Dominator finale with his qualifying win Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Allen was paired with Abilene driver Chris Elliott in the final round. Allen took the lead at the drop of the green flag for the two and a half lap shootout. Elliott remained within striking distance while running patiently around the low side of the speedway as the white flag flew. Allen kept his no. 130 machine up on the high side around the smooth and slick high-banked quarter-mile dirt oval. Allen had little pressure entering the final set of corners as he cruised to the win and the $1,000 payday. 2019 IMCA Red River Modified Tour set to start this weekend, May 25-31

By Jackson Braun KENNEDALE, Texas – Pre-registration has officially closed for the 2019 edition of the IMCA Red River Modified Tour. If the quality of racing from last year is any indication, everyone is in for a treat during the tour’s second running. Eighty-one IMCA Modifieds have registered, along with 62 Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and 19 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Inaugural champion Chris Elliott from Abilene looks to defend his Modified crown as the stacked field of racers will try to figure out how to put together a championship run. This win marked Smith’s first triumph during the Winter Nationals, and he faced a challenging path to victory lane. The twenty-lap finale began with North Dakota’s Gabe Deschamp surging to the front from the initial start. The twenty-lap race began with Thompson leading, closely followed by Dillon Richards in second place. The non-stop feature saw the top two drivers pull away from the rest of the field, racing around the track bumper-to-bumper at time. As the race approached its final five laps, lapped traffic became a critical factor. Tension escalated when Richards pulled out of line and dove under Thompson as they approached the white flag. Heinrich Captures Stock Car Winter Nationals Glory with Last Lap Pass

The veteran driver from Fargo, North Dakota, who started in third position, earned his first career Winter Nationals feature victory. The 25-lap contest kicked off with Heinrich outpacing Gary Pesicka to lead the initial lap. From there, the two drivers engaged in a thrilling cat-and-mouse battle on the 3/8-mile clay oval. Pesicka’s patience paid off when he finally passed Heinrich on the eleventh lap. However, Heinrich refused to let him pull away and regained the lead with ten laps remaining.
