Clemens Claims Modified Championship as Leach and LaMere Split Finale Wins

(Aug. 30, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified season at Electric City Speedway ended with two different feature winners, a hard-charging champion and plenty of movement through the field during Racers Appreciation Weekend. Tyler Leach drove from ninth to win Saturday night’s 20-lap feature. Braidyn LaMere followed with a victory in Sunday’s season-ending main event, while Ty Clemens wrapped up the 2026 track championship. It was a fitting end to a season that delivered speed, close competition and no shortage of action. Clemens finished the year 41 points ahead of runner-up Joey Price. His championship season included seven victories, 10 top-five finishes and a top-10 result in all 12 features. (Aug. 13, 2026) — Three rivers wind through the broad valleys of southwest Montana, cutting across a landscape framed by mountains and seemingly endless stretches of open country. (July 18, 2026) — Jordan Tocci raced from sixth to the front to score the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature during Electric City Racing Hall of Fame Night at Electric City Speedway. The Three Forks driver steadily worked his way through the field before taking command and driving to his first victory of the season at the historic 3/8-mile oval. The win was also his fourth of 2026 in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. Points leader Ty Clemens put together an impressive charge of his own, advancing from ninth to finish second. (July 4, 2026) — The fifth annual Fastest in the Falls brought two nights of Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified racing to Electric City Speedway on July 3 and 4, drawing local favorites and drivers from across Montana and beyond. With a $2,100 payout to the winner each night, there was plenty on the line, but the holiday weekend belonged to Belgrade’s Ty Clemens. Clemens started second each night and won both 30-lap features, completing a clean sweep of the weekend and collecting the added winner’s money both nights. On the track Friday, Clemens started second and drove to the win, with Joey Price finishing second and Three Forks driver Jordan Tocci charging from sixth to third. (June 20, 2026) — Ty Clemens showed why he sits atop the Electric City Speedway points standings, charging from 10th starting position to capture the 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. The evening’s action began with a wild opening heat race. Cory Craver rolled his machine between turns one and two, bringing out a caution and ending his night early. On the final lap, Kory Wermling appeared headed for victory before his engine failed coming to the checkered flag. Despite the mechanical issues, Wermling carried enough momentum to maintain the lead as David Davis made a last-ditch charge exiting turn four, only to brush the outside wall while attempting a pass. (June 6, 2026) — Seventeen-year-old Tyler Leach overcame a sixth-place starting position and a series of restarts to score the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature victory Saturday night at Electric City Speedway. The Sun River driver methodically worked his way through the field in the 20-lap main event and completed a sweep of the evening after also winning his heat race. Kolby Hannah managed to outmaneuver Jordan Tocci to lead the opening circuit, but Tocci, the two-time reigning Gallatin Speedway champion from Three Forks, swiftly reclaimed the top spot on lap four. (Apr. 26, 2025) — Jordan Tocci made a statement on the second night of the 2025 Montana Spring Roundup, powering to victory in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Electric City Speedway. The win marked Tocci’s first of the year in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region and capped off a competitive season-opening doubleheader at the 3/8-mile Great Falls oval. Sixteen-year-old Tyler Leach led the opening lap of Saturday’s 20-lap main before Tocci and Cody Blixt entered the fray. (July 4, 2024) – Fireworks on the track followed fireworks over Great Falls, and the rest of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified field followed Ty Clemens to the finish of the 40-lap Fastest In the Falls main event at Electric City Speedway.
