10 more IMCA Stock Car drivers become B & B All-Star eligible

VINTON, Iowa (May 31, 2023) – Ten more IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers have stamped B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible on their pre-Super Nationals resume. Two of them – former race winner Kelly Shryock and Jared Siefert – earned guaranteed starting spots with $5,000 checkers at Clay County Classic and Jackson’s Stock Car Challenge, respectively. Dallon Murty, already locked into the 30-car field, counted the $5,000 win at Stuart Speedway’s Whole Hog 50 among his three qualifying wins in May. Peyton Taylor prevailed at Batesville Motor Speedway’s JD Garrison Memorial and Damon Murty paced Clay County’s Spring Shootout. Jason Batt was an All Star Shootout victor. Cole Mather ruled the Monday Night Madness show at Independence and everybody chased Chase Parker at 141 Speedway’s Nathan Bouche Memorial. Reimers rules Boone, May takes Corn Belt Clash win

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 27, 2023) – It was a beautiful night Saturday for racing at Boone Speedway to kick off the Memorial Weekend. There were 148 cars checked in to provide the crowd with a full night of entertaining racing action. The Stealth Racing STARS Mod Lites ran a 25-lap feature event for their second night of a three-race Corn Belt Classic series. Ben George was the early leader of the main event but had big-time company in the likes of Josh May, Bryce Vowan and Jon Padilla. Bad luck bit George when a lapped car caused him to fall back on lap 10, with May taking over the top spot. May never looked back after getting the lead and would take it the rest of the way home to the win. Second place went to Jon Padilla. Third place was Bryce Vowan. McBirnie from 19th to the win at Iowa’s Action Track

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 20, 2023) – Jake McBirnie hotshoed it all the way from 19th to win the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature on a beautiful Saturday night for racing at Boone Speedway. Nick Roberts jumped to the lead from his outside front row starting spot when the green flag flew. Izac Mallicoat started third and tucked in behind the leader. A caution flew on lap 13 and on the restart, Todd Shute got around Mallicoat to take over the second spot. A couple laps later, bad luck would bite Shute when he spun in corner one. As the restart of that caution went green, suddenly it was McBirnie sitting in second place after making his way from the 19th starting spot. A lap later, McBirnie threw a perfectly executed slider in turn two and had the lead with three laps remaining. First career wins to Burke, Fye Saturday at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 13, 2023) – Boone Speedway avoided the bad weather rumbling around the State of Iowa on Saturday and the show went on as scheduled with Chris Burke and Aron Fye getting career first wins in their respective IMCA divisions. Summer Anderson and Burke led the field of 24 IMCA Friesen Performance Northern SportMods to the green with Anderson jumping to the point. Her night was short-lived, however, as she broke on the backstretch on lap two. This put Burke to the lead as Hunter Longnecker tucked in behind and put on a relentless challenge. Much of the rest of the race was a near side-by-side challenge as Burke kept his momentum up top and Longnecker looked for a way under him. Burke never gave up his advantage and held off all challenges to see the checkers for the first time in his career. First win for Fye on opening night at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 6, 2023) – After suffering three straight weeks of rain outs, the Boone Speedway finally got its regular season of track points racing underway on Saturday night and Danny Fye became a first-time Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature winner. Fye led all 20 laps, holding back the advances of Cole Fenske in the closing circuits in capturing the victory. Following second place Fenske was hard charger and 15th place starter Braden Richards in third. Randy Bryan had a bit of luck on his side with his win in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite contest. He had passed early leader Ben George on lap four to take over the number one spot, but was docked two spots for a jump on the start. Oskvig’s goal is to do Super Nationals race director job so well no one notices

BOONE, Iowa (April 11, 2023) – The goal Grant Oskvig has for his new job is to do it so well nobody notices him. The veteran track official and former flagman is the new race director for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. He’ll be in charge of organizing cars on the track, making calls, dispatching tow trucks and ultimately everything that happens on the Boone Speedway oval during the entire week of dirt track racing’s biggest event. “The number one thing is consistency. Frostbuster bonus wins to Ward, Jerovetz and Carter

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (April 8, 2023) – Saturday night became bonus night for three drivers as Boone Speedway kicked off its 2023 racing season with a Frostbuster special that saw 166 racing machines checked into the pits. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods kicked off the feature racing with the running of their 20-lap main event. Brayton Carter started second on the lineup grid and immediately grabbed the lead. Carter had the field covered as he would go on to lead all laps on his way to victory. Taylor Kuehl, last year’s Frostbuster winner, was runner-up ahead of Cam Reimers, Adam Armstrong and Braden Richards. Carter had won the first night of the Frostbuster on Friday at Marshalltown and earned the double bonus payout of $1,000 for Saturday’s win. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 4, 2023) – Frostbuster action for four IMCA divisions gets the 2023 season started this week at Marshalltown Speedway and Boone Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at Marshalltown, and Saturday, April 8 at Boone. Feature winners all three nights become eligible to qualify for Fast Shafts or B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitationals. IMCA Super Nationals history for Olmstead with RoC win and Hobby Stock championship

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2022) – Zach Olmstead thought he had the car to win the Saturday show at Boone Speedway last September. That same ride took him straight to the history book at the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Olmstead became the first driver to win both the Stephenville Starter Race of Champions and the Hobby Stock championship event at the same Super Nationals, topping Tuesday’s RoC and the Big Dance on Saturday.
