
Dripps, Murty, Swanson top thrilling three-wide finishes at Benton County Speedway
VINTON, Iowa (July 5) – Fans were seeing triple Sunday night at Benton County Speedway as three divisions came down to three-wide finishes in exciting action on the quarter-mile. In the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, David Brown led throughout the 20-lap feature while Corey Dripps gave chase. Brown was dialed in on the preferred high groove while Dripps pestered him from the low side. Meanwhile, Zach Less was working through traffic and into contention following a lap five miscue that sent him to the tail of the field. Following a caution on the 18th circuit, Brown led the field back to green while Dripps and Less pressured from the low side. The three approached the checkers three-wide with Dripps inching ahead to steal his first win of the season. Brown was scored second ahead of Less.
