Canyon’s Desert Classic pays IMCA Modified winner $5,000

PEORIA, Ariz. – The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified win will be worth $5,000 at Canyon Speedway Park’s Desert Classic special.

Set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6 and 7, the Desert Classic is a qualifying event for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and pays a minimum of $300 to start. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods will race for $400 to win both nights.

Entry fee for the Modifieds is $100.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. both days. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Spectator admission is $18 for adults, $10 for kids ages 7-12 and free for ages six and under. Pit passes are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
