Tire Demon by Love Tap gives IMCA special events awards

KELLEY, Iowa – Special events awards from Tire Demon by Love Tap are at stake again this season for competitors in four IMCA divisions. The Kelley, Iowa, manufacturer will give $500 certificates to designated place finishers at 30 specials for IMCA Modifieds and at 15 designated specials for both IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and for Karl Chevrolet Northern and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods. Certificates are to be applied toward the purchase of a tire prep stand and will be mailed after official race results are received at the IMCA home office. RaceSaver reiterates valve spring requirements

EAGLE, Neb. – RaceSaver officials are reminding IMCA Sprint Car drivers that rules for the division do not call for a specific brand or part number for valve springs. Drivers need to know that one manufacturer has changed its design but not the part number for a valve spring; the new design does not fall within wire diameter or outside diameter requirements and is not approved for use in sanctioned competition. Disqualification will result in the event a driver is found to be competing with an illegal spring. The previous spring design remains legal. AUBURN, Mich. – Tri-City Motor Speedway officials have announced a new online ticket fundraiser program available as part of the track’s community outreach efforts to help give back to the community. Raising funds is a need for so many groups, not just non-profits, and we want to be able to use our business to allow people to do so in a unique and fun way. The online ticket fundraiser program offers participants an easy solution to raise money without incurring debt, adding risk or storing bulky items. Groups participating in the fundraiser will earn $5 per online adult grandstand ticket sold when selling over 100 tickets. Harris rocks at Cleveland with Southern United Sprints win

CLEVELAND, Texas (March 2) – Shock and setup changes made in the off-season paid off in Saturday’s Southern United Sprints season opener for Jacob Harris. Harris roared back into the lead coming out of the final turn to beat younger brother Tyler to the checkers in Saturday’s series lidlifter for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars at 105 Speedway. A light rain had started midway through the main event at Cleveland and Jacob Harris found his preferred line on the high side after the precipitation stopped and the track was rolled back in. PAHRUMP, Nev. (March 2) – February starts in Arizona helped put California IMCA Modified driver Alex Stanford in victory lane in Nevada. Stanford topped Saturday’s Stormin’ Mormon special at Pahrump Valley Speedway, passing Ethan Dotson for the lead 30 circuits into the 40 lapper and then holding Hunter Marriott at bay for the $2,000 checkers. “I was able to pick cars off one at a time after the field started to spread out,” said Stanford, who had started seventh. “There were a couple cars I went around but the bottom was the place to be.
