Pre-entry open for inaugural Missouri IMCA Nationals

OSBORN, Mo. – Pre-entry for one of the most anticipated events of the US 36 Raceway season is now open. Drivers in the IMCA Modified, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will battle to become the first winners in the inaugural Missouri IMCA Nationals.

Practice for the event is on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Racing will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10-12.

Pre-entry for the event is available online at https://www.myracepass.com/register/?n=17636 or at http://www.us36racewaydirttrack.com/ and click on the driver registration button. Pre-entry for the event is $60 for Modifieds and Sprint Cars and $50 for Stock Cars and SportMods. The entry fee includes the driver pit pass on practice night. Drivers are highly encouraged to pre-enter for the event before Sept. 29 as after that date, the registration will be $100 for all classes. 

Thursday and Friday will see drivers compete in complete shows, including heats, “B” features and “A” features. The top six in the “A” feature from each night will lock into Saturday’s Main event. 

Saturdays racing action will include last-chance races and the main events for each division.

Saturday’s main events will pay $1,200 to win in the Modifieds and Sprint Cars. The two classes will pay $275 to start and the feature is a 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. The Stock Cars pay $1,000 to win and $200 to start on Saturday. The SportMods pay $800 to win and $175 to start.

Bowers powers to Modified Madness checkers

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (May 27, 2022) – Steven Bowers Jr. took the final checkers of the evening in dominating fashion Friday at US 36 Raceway’s Modified Madness. Bowers, already Fast Shafts All Star Invitational qualifying eligible, swept the night as he dominated the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event, lapping all but the second-place contender on the way to the $1,100 win.  Jacob Hobscheidt kept close to Bowers to finish second with Josh Munsen third. Other IMCA winners during the evening at Osborn were Mike Nichols, Tim Eaton and Dillon Raffurty. IMCA Stock Car win at US 36 is first for Smith

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (June 16, 2023) – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at US 36 Raceway saw side-by-side racing and a first-time visitor to victory lane Friday night. Carson Masoner took the early lead and pulled away from the field with Brad Derry, Matthew Lance and Nate Barnes nipping at his heels. He continued to lead until Randy Smith Jr. found the fast line around the track and took over at the front. Smith, who has won in about everything except an IMCA Stock Car, did not look back nor was he denied in picking up his first-ever feature win in The Class Too Tough To Tame at US 36 Raceway. Lance placed a very close second with Barnes crossing in third. The Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature ended with Dillon Raffurty back in victory lane.

2019 drivers’ meeting set for US 36, Bethany

CAMERON, Mo. – The drivers’ meeting for the 2019 season at US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway is set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at the Cameron Community Center. The drivers’ meeting is combined for both race tracks so drivers can get all their paperwork completed for both tracks if they choose to. The meeting will allow drivers and teams to register their car and reserve pit stalls for the upcoming season. Registration for the 2019 season for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $60 and $50 for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods is $50. Pit stalls are $60 to reserve for the 2019 season. The meeting will also include a discussion on the updated 2019 general rules and teams can bring any questions they have.
