2019 drivers’ meeting set for US 36, Bethany

CAMERON, Mo. – The drivers’ meeting for the 2019 season at US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway is set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at the Cameron Community Center.

The drivers’ meeting is combined for both race tracks so drivers can get all their paperwork completed for both tracks if they choose to.

The meeting will allow drivers and teams to register their car and reserve pit stalls for the upcoming season.

Registration for the 2019 season for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $60 and $50 for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods is $50. Pit stalls are $60 to reserve for the 2019 season.

The meeting will also include a discussion on the updated 2019 general rules and teams can bring any questions they have.

This is a great opportunity for drivers and teams to get a head start on the 2019 season. Snacks and coffee will be available for all in attendance.

IMCA Stock Car win at US 36 is first for Smith

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (June 16, 2023) – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at US 36 Raceway saw side-by-side racing and a first-time visitor to victory lane Friday night. Carson Masoner took the early lead and pulled away from the field with Brad Derry, Matthew Lance and Nate Barnes nipping at his heels. He continued to lead until Randy Smith Jr. found the fast line around the track and took over at the front. Smith, who has won in about everything except an IMCA Stock Car, did not look back nor was he denied in picking up his first-ever feature win in The Class Too Tough To Tame at US 36 Raceway. Lance placed a very close second with Barnes crossing in third. The Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature ended with Dillon Raffurty back in victory lane.

US 36 Modified win goes to Clancy

(April 19) – IMCA Modifieds provided one of the best races of the night Friday at US 36 Raceway, with Chad Clancy leading the way in a green, white, checkered finish.  Brandon Williams had led the first 15 laps of the feature with Clancy draped all over the inside corner panel of his machine for most of that run. While those two battled, Steven Bowers Jr. closed in and made it a three-car battle.  The front three were primed for a battle to the end when the first caution of the race flew at lap 15. Clancy chose the inside lane on the Delaware double file restart. Bowers got the top and, on the restart, found the grip, shot around Clancy and crossed to the inside of Williams. He cleared for the lead in turn three as Williams slipped up allowing Clancy into second. IMCA RaceSaver Sprints call Bethany Speedway new Missouri home

BETHANY, Mo. – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers have had Jon Boller Jr. on speed dial since his announcement the winged division would be new at his Bethany Speedway this season. Ten dates, all but one of them on Saturday nights, are on the 2020 schedule at Bethany. Opening night is April 25 with points racing slated through Aug. 29.  Sanctioned Sprints also run Fridays at the Boller-promoted U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn. “There’s been a lot of interest by drivers who want to run twice a week,” Boller said. “Bethany is only 15 miles or so from the Iowa state line and there are drivers in the Des Moines area who were looking for a place to run on Saturday nights.” “We want to continue building the division and giving those drivers another track to race at 10 nights is one way we can do that,” he continued.
