Dirt Dominator, Texas Big 4 slated at Grayson County

BELLS, Texas – Drivers in three IMCA divisions have two opportunities to win $1,000 during the Dirt Dominator Texas Big 4 Weekend at Grayson County Speedway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods vie in $1,000 to win IMCA.TV Dirt Dominator king of the hill-type competition following the Thursday, Oct. 31 practice session. Qualifying is Friday, Nov. 1 at Bells with last-chance races and $1,000 to win, minimum $250 to start main events for the same divisions on Saturday, Nov. 2. Wins keep coming for Grabouski as World Nationals checkers pay $10,000

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Oct. 26) – Jordan Grabouski made a banner 2019 season even more memorable Saturday night, winning the IMCA Modified main event at Marshalltown Speedway’s 13th annual World Nationals. The $10,000 paycheck came near the end of a campaign that saw the Beatrice, Neb., driver race to IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco national crowns. His 69 total feature wins during the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season also included the April Frostbuster at Marshalltown. Joel Rust, defending race winner Richie Gustin, Cayden Carter and Jeff Aikey completed the top five. Grabouski and Gustin had lined up on the front row for the start of the 50-lapper. Grabouski grabbed the immediate lead and was still in front when the race was red flagged at 20 laps down after Jeff Larson went over turn three. Missouri IMCA Nationals Oct. 25-26 at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. (Oct. 23) – Today (Wednesday) is the final day to take advantage of early pre-entry for the first ever Missouri IMCA Nationals on Oct. 25-26. Duel In The Desert boasts great competition, Las Vegas location

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Entertainment Capital of the World welcomes IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods to town for the Duel In The Desert. Compliments keep coming for McGaha on Southern Challenge IMCA Modified victory

ABILENE, Texas (Oct. 19) – Josh McGaha was getting compliments long after the IMCA Modified checkers flew at Abilene Speedway’s Ryan Bard Memorial Southern Challenge. McGaha stayed in front after swapping the lead late with frequent foe Chris Elliott in winning Saturday’s headliner, earning $2,000 and a 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth for the victory. “It was a barnburner, a heck of a good race,” said McGaha, also winner of 2011 and 2012 Southern Challenge titles. “It’s one of the most fun races I’ve been in and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on how exciting it was.” Elliott, Herring, Matt Guillaume and Chase Allen rounded out the top five. The $10,000 special for IMCA Modifieds is a qualifying feature for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win during Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26 programs. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Racing starts at 7 p.m. both nights. Friday spectator admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors. WACO, Texas (Oct. 21) – IMCA Modifieds chase a top check of $5,000 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Oct. 24-26 Fall Classic. Saturday’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier pays a minimum of $300 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods both race for $1,500 to win and $125 to start. Tow money is $100 for the Modifieds and $60 for both the Stocks and SportMods. Boyd Fall Finale checkers fly for Gober

BOYD, Texas (Oct. 12) – The exclamation point to John Gober’s season at Boyd Raceway came with Saturday’s $1,000 Fall Finale checkers. Gober collected three of his seven 2019 IMCA Modified feature wins along with the track title at Boyd. PORT ROYAL, Pa. (Oct. 12) – Nick Sweigart saw an opening on the last lap and seized it, passing both cars battling for the lead and holding on to win the eighth annual Keystone RaceSaver Challenge Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway. Sweigart, who had started 10th in the Blue Collar Classic for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, had fought his way to third place when Doug Dodson, running second, dove to the inside of leader Zach Newlin in turn two of the 25th and final lap, and Newlin came down to try for a crossover to regain first. Sweigart fired his ride into the narrow space outside of Dodson and went by both cars.
