100-plus IMCA state champions earn KMJ Performance awards

STORY CITY, Iowa – The accomplishments of more than 100 IMCA drivers from coast to coast and border to border will be recognized again in 2021 by KMJ Performance.

The Story City, Iowa-based chassis and high performance parts manufacturer and distributor returns for a second season as title sponsor of IMCA’s popular state championship program.

State champions crowned in all nine IMCA divisions receive their choice of a $200 gift certificate good toward the purchase of any four shock package, $250 off the purchase of any Victory or Assault chassis, or $50 off any parts purchase.

“We’d first become an IMCA sponsor in 2019 and saw the state championship program as a logical next step toward getting our name out to more drivers and race teams. We wanted to build on the 5,000 packages we shipped every week to customers across the country and I believe we have accomplished that,” said KMJ owner Tony Hofbauer. “We have made many new customers, and friends, and have helped the dirt track racing industry grow as an IMCA sponsor.”

KMJ Performances certificates will be presented or mailed after point standings become official this fall.

One hundred and ten state champions were crowned each of the last three years and 1,017 different drivers have raced to one or more of the 1,595 state titles awarded since the 2000 season.

“Our first season with KMJ Performance as the face of our State Champion program was very successful,” commented IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “We look forward to rewarding a whole new group of IMCA racers and crowning over 110 KMJ State Champions again in 2021.
