Arizona Speedway sets Superstition Showdown for three IMCA divisions

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. – Three IMCA divisions runs each night of Arizona Speedway’s Feb. 12-14 Superstition Showdown, with the Sunday IMCA Modified winner taking home $5,000.

All three Modified feature are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers, with $1,500 paid to win Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13 events. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $500 to win and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $750 to win Friday and Saturday. 

Top checks in both divisions in the Valentine’s Day show on Sunday are $1,000. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and KMJ Performance Arizona State points will be awarded each night. IMCA Modifieds also earn Shaw Race Cars Western Region points and Stock Cars earn EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region points.

Entry fee for all three days of the Superstition Showdown in $125 for Modifieds and $75 for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods. 

Pit gates open at 1 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. and racing starts at 5:30 p.m. each day.

Pit passes are $35 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6-11 and free for ages 10 and under. Spectator admission for adults is $20 a night or $50 for all three nights. Kids ages 11 and under get into the grandstand free. Social distancing guidelines are in effect and face masks are required.

Practice for all divisions is Thursday, Feb. 11. The track website is www.arizonaspeedway.net.
