


Budweiser Shootout Friday at U.S. 36
OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, June 5, is the Budweiser Shootout at U.S. 36 Raceway. The Sprint Series of Nebraska headlines the event. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are also racing. The Sprint Series of Nebraska pays $700 to win and $250 to start. IMCA RaceSaver Sprints have heat race bonuses as well as $75 goes to each heat race winner, $50 to second and $25 to third. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. Zevenbergen, Logue land Dirt Duel wins
By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 3) – Elijah Zevenbergen and Johnathon Logue were $3,000 feature winners on the third night of Stuart Speedway’s Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel. Zevenbergen grabbed the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers ahead of second-year speedster Dallon Murty Wednesday night while Logue beat Cody Thompson to the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod finish by not much more than the width of his bumper. Zevenbergen and Todd VanEaton brought the Stock Car field to the green flag. Zevenbergen took control early in the 50-lapper as Murty worked his way through to second just before a caution came out on lap 21. $250 Sunoco bonus on tap for IMCA Late Model winner at Dubuque
VINTON, Iowa – The payday got even better for the winner of Sunday’s main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway. The third $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the June 7 Late Model winner at Dubuque. Sunoco bonuses will be presented at Late Model sanctioned tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the 2020 racing season. Previous winners were Jeff Aikey at Independence Motor Speedway on May 23 and Matt Ryan at 34 Raceway last Saturday night. IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track. Grandstand seating is now open, and fans will also have the opportunity to watch the night’s racing action by logging on to IMCA.tvor affiliate DoneRight.tv. The live streaming service will carry a one-time charge and will not require a membership. Hot laps are scheduled to take to the track at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Season opener tonight at Buena Vista Raceway
ALTA, Iowa – Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. today (Wednesday) for the season opener at Buena Vista Raceway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are on the draw/redraw card. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state and track points will be awarded. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $25 for adults, $15 for kids ages 6-10 and free for five and under. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and over, veterans and students ages 13-18, and free for kids 12 and under and active military personnel. Tonight’s race program at Alta will be broadcast by Advantage Racing TV, part of the IMCA.TV network.

Grandstands open at Independence Motor Speedway this Saturday
By Jerry Mackey INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The 2020 Independence Motor Speedway season resumes this coming Saturday, June 6 in front of a live crowd for the first time this year. Independence, promoted by jjamracing, which is comprised of Mick Trier and partner Justin Temeyer, is anxious to continue the racing season with fans in attendance. Racing runs under the IMCA banner with sanctioned divisions including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. The 3/8 mile track, located on the Buchanan County Fairgrounds in Independence, will see the pits open at 3:30 p.m. and grandstand open at 4:30 p.m., with warmups set for 6 p.m. and racing to follow.

Sweet Manufacturing will add top Sprint Car rookie to post-season IMCA award program
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sweet Manufacturing adds to post-season awards for IMCA drivers this season, giving a steering box to the national RaceSaver Sprint Car rookie of the year. The Kalamazoo, Mich., company is manufacturer of the Official Steering Box of IMCA and renews awards for IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Late Model divisions as well. Part of the national decal program for the sixth year, Sweet gives steering boxes to the champions and $50 gift certificates to second through fifth place drivers in each of the five Modified regions. Modified drivers are required to display two Sweet Manufacturing decals on their race cars to be eligible for point fund shares. Sweet also gives a steering rack to the Late Model national champion. Carter, Van Eaton capture night 2 Dirt Duel qualifiers
By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 2) – Brayton Carter and Todd Van Eaton won qualifying features on night two of Stuart Speedway’s Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel. Qualifying for Wednesday’s 50-lap Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature was set by four heats and two “B” features. Carter and Colby Langenberg brought the field to life with Carter taking control early. Cautions bunched the field up a few times but Carter was up to the challenge each time and went on to the win. Carter, Brian Osantowski, Colby Fett and Johnathon Logue were the top four cars that locked into Wednesday’s big show. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars followed the same exact format as the SportMods with Todd VanEaton and Joe Zrostlik on the front row. Schrader scores opener at Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (May 30) – Kenny Schrader took the early lead and then schooled the IMCA Modified field following a late restart Saturday at The Quick Quarter of the Springfield Raceway. For Schrader, the opening night win marked a special moment as the very popular driver celebrated to the date his first-ever race and first-ever win 49 years ago. He’d also celebrated his 65th birthday just a day earlier. Schrader, in his Federated Auto Parts Modified, took the early lead from Derek Watson after starting third in the 20-lap Bad Boy Mowers feature. Out in front, Schrader opened a half-a-track lead until a late caution bunched the field as fast moving Steven Bowers Jr. was getting the chance to try and steal the thunder at Jerry Hoffman’s high banked racy oval.
