IMCA Corral Sales Dakota Classic Tour starts Saturday in Jamestown

MANDAN, N.D. – Drivers have been pre-registered from 14 states and Saskatchewan for the upcoming Corral Sales Dakota Classic Tour for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars July 10-15, 2021.  The six consecutive day tour starts in Jamestown at the quarter-mile Jamestown Speedway on the Stutsman County Fairgrounds, on Saturday, July 10. Jamestown was one of the original three tour tracks when the series began in July of 1990. From there the series heads north to Minot at the 3/8-mile Nodak Speedway on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds for a Sunday-Monday doubleheader on July 11-12. The Monday date was to be held in Estevan, Sask., as it has since 2000, but the border remains closed due to the Covid pandemic, so Minot agreed to host the program. Carter comes up big at Ron Little Memorial finale to Midwest Madness Tour at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (July 1) –One hundred and forty-four race cars came to the 22nd annual Ron Little Memorial and Karl Kustoms Midwest Madness Tour program at Stuart Speedway.  Tim Ward and Todd Shute were out front for the IMCA Modifieds. Shute led early with Cayden Carter blowing by on the bottom side on lap six. A caution on lap 26 bunched the field and gave them a shot at Carter but it was not to be as The Gasman, already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, took the $2,000 win. Kyle Brown finished second with Ward third, Joel Rust fourth and Shute fifth.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods saw Bryan Morris and Garrett Nelson on the front row. Izac Mallicoat shot into the lead early Brayton Carter gapping the field to take the win by over a straightaway. Abelson is successful in home track defense as Midwest Madness Tour visits Buena Vista

ALTA, Iowa (June 30) – A track that’s been very good to Chris Abelson in the past was good to the Sioux City speedster Wednesday night. Abelson got the best of Anthony Roth for the lead early into the IMCA Modified main event, then led to the finish of the 30-lap Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod Midwest Madness Tour/Kyle Suter Memorial show at Buena Vista Raceway.  “I’ve raced at Alta a long time. I did have a home track advantage and that goes a long ways,” said Abelson, a seven-time Modified track champion at BVR. “It’s always good to win here – You never want somebody to come beat you at your home track.” That “somebody” Wednesday night was Californian Cody Laney, who worked his way up from ninth starting to second. IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars run on opening night at Buchanan County Fair

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The first night of the Buchanan County Fair brings IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars to Independence Motor Speedway on Tuesday, July 6. Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth; Stock Cars run for a $750 top check, with the winner becoming eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star race. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. Entry fee for both divisions is $20. Pit passes are $30. Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for veterans and teens, $10 for kids ages 7-12 and free for ages six and under. The evening’s Denny Osborn Memorial Late Model event honors the 1989 IMCA national champion, who passed away May 24, and is presented by Travis Smock and Peoples Company.

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Winning Saturday’s IMCA Modified feature at 34 Raceway now pays a guaranteed $1,500, with a $500 bonus possible that would make that payday an even two grand. Good lap, good line good for Brown, Green in IMCA Midwest Madness Tour at Clay County

SPENCER, Iowa (June 29) – A really good lap put Kyle Brown in victory lane while a really fast line did the trick for Derek Green on night two of the Karl Kustoms Midwest Madness Tour. Brown got the best of Cody Thompson in a green, white, checkered IMCA Modified finish Tuesday at Clay County Fair Speedway. Green put on a show of his own in racing to IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career win number 98. Both $1,000 feature wins carried September bonuses, putting Brown on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and making Green eligible for B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying.
