Winters Performance Products adds Stock Cars to IMCA awards program

YORK, Pa. – Winters Performance Products adds to its awards program in 2021, giving post-season prizes to IMCA Modified and now IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers. Top five finishers in both Stock Car regions receive $100 product certificates while the national rookie of the year gets a Falcon aluminum transmission from the York, Pa., manufacturer. In its seventh year of sponsorship, Winters again gives $100 product certificates to top five drivers in each of the five regions for IMCA Modifieds and a quick change rear end to the top rookie driver in that division. Those awards will be presented during the national banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office. Bullring back in action Sunday

VINTON, Iowa – After racing action was weathered out this past Sunday, the Bullring at Benton County Speedway will return for its second night of weekly points racing May 2. Weekly points battles will continue in the KISS Country 96.5 IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Albert Auto, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by Kwik Star and Mach-1 Sport Compacts presented by Auto Crafters. Spring Fling checkers fly for James

(April 23) – Cottage Grove Speedway was in action for the Spring Fling doubleheader weekend and while wet weather washed away the Saturday program, Bricen James topped the IMCA Modified main event on Friday . Paul Rea set the pace in the first few laps. The Eugene veteran was at the point of the pack until lap three when Jeffrey Hudson got around him. Hudson, from the central Oregon town of Keno and racing for car owner Don Roemer, stayed there for the majority of the race. Hudson was overtaken late, on lap 18, by Albany’s Bricen James. James had to deal with a couple of stoppages which meant he had to deal with a handful of restarts. Bricen mastered each of them and the seventh starting driver went on to win his first race of the 2021 campaign. (APRIL 24) – “It seems like forever since we won a race.” For 2019 IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car national and Pennsylvania Sprint Series champion Ken Duke Jr., that was an understandable thought. After scoring eight victories in that magical season, he only visited victory lane once in 2020, on July 11 at his hometown Selinsgrove Speedway. Expanded California IMCA Speedweek primed for eight race dates

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – West Coast fans who called for an encore after the inaugural California IMCA Speedweek can mark April 30-May 8 on their race calendar. The second annual tour, presented by Hoppes Motorsports, expands to feature eight dates at as many different tracks for IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Modified main events pay $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start and are qualifying races for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot; SportMod mains pay $750 to win and a minimum of $75 to take the green.
