Schnitzer Scores First Win of 2026 at Grays Harbor Raceway

ELMA, Wash. (July 3, 2026) — A large crowd kicked off the Independence Day weekend as Q-Mart presented the Mid-Season Championship at Grays Harbor Raceway. Fans enjoyed Fan Appreciation activities before the evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.

The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature delivered plenty of drama as Brenton Schnitzer capitalized on misfortune for the frontrunners to earn his first DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the 2026 season.

John Gaynor appeared to have the race under control until a flat tire and subsequent mechanical issues ended his bid for the win, opening the door for Schnitzer. The Shelton driver took over the lead and held off a determined charge from Austin Rognlin over the closing laps to secure the victory after starting ninth.

Rognlin, who started eighth, finished second, followed by Craig Moore, who advanced from 10th to third. Tyson Blood charged from 11th to fourth, while Brian Harding rounded out the top five after starting on the pole.

Trevor Labarge also turned in an impressive drive, advancing from 12th to finish sixth.

Harding, Blood, and Gaynor each won heat races, while Schnitzer earned Elma Lanes Hard Charger honors with his eight-position advance to victory.

West Coast Modified Clash and SportMod Clash Set for Memorial Day Weekend at Grays Harbor Raceway

(Apr. 24, 2026) — The West Coast Modified Clash and IMCA SportMod Clash are set for Memorial Day weekend at Grays Harbor Raceway, with full event details now available for one of the premier doubleheader events on the West Coast. The two-night showcase will be held Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, featuring Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods in separate, full-points events each night. Track, Washington State, DeVilbiss Racing Chassis, and national points will be awarded each night. IMCA Modifieds will race for $2,000 to win on Saturday and $2,500 to win on Sunday, with each night paying track, Washington State, DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region, and national points. Best in the West IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods to battle at Grays Harbor Shipwreck Beads Nationals

(July 12, 2023) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and SportMods are coming to Grays Harbor Raceway this weekend, July 14 and 15, for the Shipwreck Beads Modified Nationals. One of the longest running IMCA Modified specials in the Northwest at 24 years brings an additional $6,500 to the main event on Saturday, July 15 including a $7,500 top prize and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility for the winner. If that’s not enough this year’s Saturday night main event for the Modifieds will feature a three-wide initial start. Williamson wins IMCA Modified battle at Grays Harbor, Winebarger wins Wild West Shootout war

By Ben Deatherage ELMA, Wash. (Aug. 14) – Jesse Williamson won the battle while Collen Winebarger won the war Saturday at Grays Harbors Raceway. Williamson raced to his third $1,000 Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout victory of the week in the series’ sole Washington State stop of the week. Winebarger, a three-time Shootout winner as well, ended in third, good enough to clinch his first ever Shootout title. After leading the field the first lap, Winebarger set an ever quicker pace before he was caught and overtaken on lap 17 by Grey Ferrando. Ferrando was the trailblazer for a bit of time until he had some fast company with the likes of Jesse Williamson. Williamson seized the top-place position on lap 26 only to see Ferrando take the coveted top spot back on the 30th circuit. Glasser Outduels Herrera in Williston SportMod Thriller

(July 3, 2026) — A pair of teenage stars put on a show Friday night at Williston Basin Speedway as 18-year-old Keenan Glasser and 17-year-old Payce Herrera traded sliders and crossed the stripe separated by mere hundredths of a second before Glasser emerged victorious in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature. Fifteen-year-old Sladen Pfeifer won a thrilling side-by-side battle with Tanner Conlin to lead the opening lap. Conlin briefly took the top spot exiting turn two on the next circuit before Pfeifer crossed back underneath entering turn three to reclaim the lead. A caution on lap four bunched the field and allowed 2024 Williston track champion and North Dakota state champion Glasser to move into second on the restart.
