Eric Van Iten Memorial returns to The ‘Burg on July 17

LUXEMBURG, Wis. (May 3, 2022) – The second annual Eric Van Iten Memorial Night is set for Sunday, July 17 at The ‘Burg Speedway in Luxemburg, Wis., and once again some big cash will be on the line for drivers in three IMCA divisions.

A $5,000 top prize and an automatic B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational berth is already set for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds scrapping for a $2,500 top prize and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod winner takes home $500. 

The inaugural running of the Van Iten Memorial a year ago saw one of the largest crowds in the track’s history. A whopping $63,000 purse was split up amongst the 210 drivers who battled before a packed grandstand. 

Benji LaCrosse scored a $7,000 payday in the IMCA Modified feature while Devin Snellenberger scored the IMCA Stock Car feature win. Cody Rass was the IMCA Northern SportMod winner.

(July 12, 2022) – Friends and fellow drivers will remember Eric Van Iten at the second annual memorial race in his honor this Sunday at The ’Burg Speedway.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $5,000 to win and a guaranteed starting berth in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational while Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for a top check of $2,500 and qualifying eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.  Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $800 to win. Eric Van Iten Memorial … a lifetime of friendship leads to historic event

By Joe Orsini  LUXEMBURG, Wis. – July 18th’s Eric Van Iten Memorial Race is set to be the largest race in the history of the ⅓-mile, clay oval in Luxemburg, Wis.  It is also slated to be one of the largest single day events in the history of dirt track racing in the state. When Eric passed away early in 2021 his longtime friend, Troy “Snoot” DeGrave, knew he had to do something. LaCrosse tops IMCA Mod Mania feature as The ‘Burg celebrates 35 years of sanctioning

(Aug. 1) – The ‘Burg Speedway celebrated 35 years of sanctioning Modifieds with IMCA on Sunday and Benji LaCrosse celebrated a $3,500 feature win in the evening’s headlined division. A star-studded field of 33 cars rolled in to lay claim to the Mod Mania crown. Included in the field were nine former division champions totaling 25 individual titles at the track over the last 35 years.   2017 champion Todd Dart, pulled a lucky pill to start on the outside of the front row. He wasted no time in capitalizing to lead the opening lap over Greg Gretz. Seven-time time champ Brian Mullen found himself in a three-car battle for third with Mike Mullen and Tyler Wilson.
