(June 6) – Setting up a car to race on a dirt track is “a guessing game” accord­ing to Ron Pettitt, who won the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Off Road Speedway Saturday night. Pettitt took advantage of his front row starting position and basically sped away from the field to lead each and every lap for his first win at the new track, leaving the other drivers, primarily Kyle Prauner, Zach Zietner and Jason Wilkinson, to fight it out for second place. “We had an awesome night. We had a good car. The track played into our favor because it was a fast track,” Pettitt said. “We just had the right setup. It’s a guessing game, and we picked it per­fectly. By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (June 6) – Jason Kocks was the first and final leader in Saturday’s Xtreme Motors Sports IMCA Modified main event at Cottage Grove Speedway. In the first four laps there were four different leaders. Kocks seemed to have the field covered but multiple cautions made it difficult to establish and maintain a sizable lead. Kocks lost the coveted position to Kinzer Cox on lap 19. Unfortunately, a few moments later the two got together at the start/finish line and Cox sustained too much damage to continue. Kocks led the rest of the way to score his first win of the 2015 cam­paign. Scott Lenz was the runner-up and Gus Cooper ended his evening in third.

By Ben Deatherage LEBANON, Ore. (June 6) – Jeremy Shank won for the first time this season at Lebanon, in the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature on Willamette Speedway’s Strawberry Cup card. Shank and Collen Winebarger battled before Winebarger was knocked out of the race by a flat tire. Shank led the rest of the distance. John Campos was second while third went to Mark Wauge.
