By Pete Wortman DELMAR, Del. (Apr. 18, 2026) — Dave Brown Jr. of Aston, Pennsylvania took top honors Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway by capturing his first MASS victory of the young season. Brown outlasted defending champion Troy Betts in the 25-lap feature with the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade. It was Brown’s 13th career MASS victory, tying him for second on the all-time win list for the series. Brown drew the pole during the redraw and took full advantage, grabbing the early lead at the start while Betts wasted no time giving chase. Betts pressured Brown in the opening laps, with Brown slowly opening up a five-car-length advantage. Meanwhile, behind the leaders, heat winner Ryan Stillwaggon was on the move, battling with D.J. Tanner and last week’s winner Tim Iulg for third. The trio raced three-wide multiple times in a thrilling fight that lasted several laps. By halfway, Tanner secured the position, with Iulg in pursuit and Stillwaggon fending off a hard-charging Aiden Borden. At that point, Brown [Read More]

Earven Triumphs in Wild Modified Feature at Casa Grande

By Rowdy Briggs CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Apr. 18, 2026) — Gerry Glenn got the jump at the start of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Central Arizona Raceway before a chaotic opening lap brought out a restart. Chad Ayers got loose in turn two, sending Jett Ayers up the track to avoid him. Jett’s move forced Terry Belcher Jr. into the wall, and in turn three, contact between Luke Silber and Ethan Stevens collected Bryan Gray, Todd Izzo, and Bill Slocum. On the restart, Glenn again jumped to the lead, but it was short-lived as Don Earven worked his way to the front. Earven settled in out front and held off Justin Erickson over the closing laps to secure the victory. Chad Ayers finished third, followed by Jesse Tellez and Sean Conyers to complete the top five. Silber had raced his way back into contention and up to third at one point before pulling in with two laps remaining. It was Earven’s first win in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region since 2024, when his [Read More]

Williamson Charges from 17th to Win Grays Harbor Opener

By Shaun Hulbert ELMA, Wash. (Apr. 18, 2026) — Grays Harbor Raceway opened its 2026 season with a strong showing in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds. Grey Ferrando led the opening 21 laps, setting a torrid pace and even putting cars a lap down. Rookie racer and first-time visitor Robert Lancaster, along with veteran Craig Moore, found speed and worked their way past Devon Reed. Lancaster began closing in on Ferrando and, on lap 21, took over the lead, appearing poised to score a win in his first appearance at the raceway. A caution with three laps remaining, involving Reed and Jason St. Paul, reset the field. On the restart, Lancaster led briefly before spinning in turn one, bringing out another yellow. That handed the lead to Kevin Williamson for the final restart. Williamson held off Moore over the closing laps to secure the win, with Austin Rognlin finishing third. Tyson Blood and St. Paul rounded out the top five after a strong late charge. It was Williamson’s first win of the season in the DeVilbiss [Read More]

Whitfield Scores Emotional First SportMod Win at CAR

By Rowdy Briggs CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Apr. 17, 2026) — Racing with a heavy heart, Braydon Whitfield captured his first career Speedway Motors IMCA-sanctioned Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Central Arizona Raceway on Friday night. Whitfield was racing in honor of his grandfather, Roy Tipton—known to him as “Papa Roy”—who passed away on Sunday, April 12. Rex Hasley and Jerry Elliott led the SportMod field to the green flag for their 20-lap feature. Hasley led lap one, but Whitfield scooted by on lap two. Whitfield set sail on the field and built a lead of over a second before a caution with two laps to go bunched the field. A very emotional Whitfield held off Ty Weidner, Bubba Stafford Jr., James Meile, and Hasley to secure the win. Speedy Madrid and Dennis Losing were on the pole for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Madrid led lap one but wasn’t able to hold off Mitchell Ferguson. Ferguson took command on lap two and cruised to the win by more than six seconds for his [Read More]

Stone Scores Big in Stock Cars at Watsonville

By Gary Thomas WATSONVILLE, Calif. (Apr. 17, 2026) — A total of 26 Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars packed the pit area for the inaugural American Giuliani Construction and Restoration Classic on Friday night at Watsonville Speedway, and when all was settled it was veteran driver Paul Stone who claimed the $2,500 grand prize. Stone began the evening by qualifying second overall and shot to the lead by way of the pole position in the feature. The Winton driver ended up leading every lap, but it was far from easy. A relentless Tyler Bannister ran the high scary side of the quarter-mile oval and gave it everything he had in an attempt to wrestle away the lead. Stone was smooth as glass on the bottom, however, and never gave Bannister an opportunity to pounce. A late caution set up a green-white-checkered finish that went into overtime. During the restart, Stone hit his marks to claim the Ed Entz checkered flag for victory over Bannister, 12th-starting Lance Hurst, Fred Ryland, and Terry DeCarlo Jr. It was Stone’s third [Read More]

Bittner Opens Clinton County Season with Victory

MILL HALL, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2026) — Timmy Bittner of nearby Beech Creek thrilled the hometown crowd by claiming the season opener for the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars at Clinton County Speedway. Polesitter John Braim of Turbotville took the lead at the drop of the green flag, with Jacob Gamola of Seneca moving into second. Sixth-place starter Timmy Bittner quickly worked his way into second by the completion of lap two. By lap 10, Braim was leading Bittner, Gamola, Josh Fox of State College, and Ryan Lynn of Hollidaysburg. As Braim encountered lapped traffic, he was able to stretch his advantage over Bittner by a few car lengths. In the laps that followed, Bittner reeled him back in, searching for an opportunity to make a move. On lap 19, that chance came when Braim bobbled in turn two, allowing Bittner to charge underneath and take the lead as the leaders worked through traffic. Iulg Stellar in MASS Opener at Bridgeport

By Pete Wortman SWEDESBORO, N.J. (Apr. 11, 2026) — Tim Iulg of Bridgeton, New Jersey, opened the 10th anniversary season of the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade on a winning note by capturing the 25-lap A-Main on Saturday night at Bridgeport Speedway. Iulg withstood a late-race restart with just two laps remaining to defeat defending MASS champion Troy Betts by 0.568 seconds. Iulg and series rookie Tyler Grau brought the 20-car field to the start, with Iulg jumping out in front to pace the field. Eddie Wagner wasted no time getting by Grau and quickly took up the chase. While Iulg slowly expanded his lead, several battles were being waged behind the duo, including Troy Betts pressuring Grau for third. Betts finally bested Grau for the spot exiting turn two and set his sights on Wagner. Lapped traffic was now coming into play as the race neared the halfway point, and Iulg’s once comfortable advantage shrunk to just two car lengths. Betts successfully made another inside move work in turn [Read More]
