ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 20, 2026) — Matt Looft put together a memorable night at Arlington Raceway, earning his first career Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature victory and later adding a runner-up finish in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event.

Looft started fourth in the 15-lap Modified feature and quickly tracked down early leader Dan Menk. After shadowing Menk through the opening two circuits, the Swea City, Iowa driver made his move on the inside down the backstretch to grab the lead and never looked back.

Menk made several attempts to reclaim the top spot, but Looft held firm to score his first career Arlington Raceway Modified victory and add his name to the list of 2026 Razor Chassis North Central Region winners. Menk finished second, followed by Chad Porter, Clint Hatlestad, and Curt Lund.

Daniel Eckblad earned his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature.

Andrea McCain paced the opening laps before a first-lap caution slowed the action. Following the restart, McCain continued to lead until Eckblad surged to the front on lap six. Looft, who started 11th, worked his way into contention and closed on the leader in the closing stages, but Eckblad maintained the advantage to secure the win. Looft finished second, A.J. Zimmerman was third, Trent Loverude fourth, and Tim Pessek fifth.

Austin Jahnz continued his remarkable season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region by charging from 10th to win the caution-free Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature.

Scott Porter led the first four laps before Jahnz powered to the front on lap five. Chad Volk challenged throughout the remainder of the race, but Jahnz held on for his 12th victory of the season, including nine in Northern Region competition and four at Arlington Raceway. Volk finished second ahead of Porter, Ben Davis, and Jonathan Schroeder.

Zach Davis scored his second victory of the season and second at Arlington Raceway in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods.

Matt Schoenke led the opening lap before Joey Reimers took command on lap two. Reimers appeared headed for victory until Davis, who started 10th, charged through the field and used the high groove to take the lead with three laps remaining. Reimers settled for second while Eric Larson completed the podium. Ben Reierson and Cole Hesse rounded out the top five.

Alan Lahr led all 10 laps of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature to earn his first win of 2026. Jack Gatton slipped past Kevin Madson late in the race to finish second. Madson was third, followed by Dale Gatton and Mason Berger.

In the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars, Brett Allen collected his third Arlington Raceway victory of the season. Allen took the lead from son Brayden Allen following a restart on lap six and went on to hold off Bill Johnson for the win. Brayden Allen finished third, with Matt Johnson fourth and Jeremy Schultz fifth.
