Selinsgrove hosts Pennsylvania Game Commission “Race To Hunting Season”

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (Sept. 12, 2022) – The Pennsylvania Sprint Series and Selinsgrove Speedway announced Race to Hunting Season, an exciting new event to be held Saturday, Sept. 17, featuring the PASS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car division. PASS and the speedway have partnered with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) to present a fun pre-race atmosphere combined with a championship race for the winged open wheel division. The PASS purse, which is expected to be doubled for the event thanks to the support from PGC and a boost from the track, will pay $900 to win and $450 to start. Diamond Park to host first annual 94M Memorial: Caleb’s Legacy on Oct. 8

MURFREESBORO, Ark. (Sept. 12, 2022) – Diamond Park Speedway, along with a host of local sponsors, will host the first annual tribute to the late Caleb and Andrea McCollett on Saturday, Oct. 8, the day marking one year since their passing and what would have been his 29th birthday. The family of Caleb McCollett and their closest friends have raised an enormous amount of money to be paid out in the couple’s honor, and to continue to show love and support for their 3-year-old daughter, Penelope Kate McCollett at the first annual 94M Memorial: Caleb’s Legacy special for IMCA STARS Mod Lites. IMCA Modifieds headline Sept. 16-17 World Nationals at Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Sept. 12, 2022) – Two thousand dollars is the top prize for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds both nights of Marshalltown Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17 World Nationals. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods also race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win both nights. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded. Modified winners become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, Stock Car winners for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. Drivers in all divisions can pre-enter at marshalltownspeedway.com and pit passes are $30. Pit gates open at 5:15 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and racing is at 7:30 p.m. both days. Berry tops record 40^th IMCA Super Nationals with Modified crown

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2022) – Tom Berry Jr.’s run to the Modified championship brought the final checkers down on the record-setting week of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, when 1,000 cars brought 1,000 stars to Boone Speedway. Berry, one of the record 1,000 drivers from 28 states and four Canadian provinces competing at the 40th annual event, caught Kollin Hibdon for the lead just before midway of the 40-lapper, then held off the young speedster from Nevada the rest of the way. “This is unbelievable,” Berry said before trophy photos were taken in the NAPA Fan Zone. “I’ve been coming to Super Nationals for years and finally did it. Laps led differ but Murty, Thornton top Friday Stock Car qualifiers

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 9, 2022) – The numbers of laps Damon Murty and Dylan Thornton led differed almost as much as possible but both were winners of Friday night IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Stock Car qualifying features. 2018 Super Nationals champion Murty passed race-long leader Shelby Williams after two late cautions in the first qualifier at Boone Speedway. Thornton, already set to start the Modified main event from the pole, led the distance in the caution-free 25-lap nightcap. Top four finishers in each feature advance to the outside row of the championship show. Murty’s son Dallon, the defending Super Nationals king, and Kaden Reynolds have already locked in front row starts. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 9, 2022) – Race fans in the Pacific Northwest celebrated late into the night, after Friday checkers flew for Modified qualifying features at the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Oregon driver Bricen James won the first qualifier and Oregon native Tom Berry Jr. paced the nightcap at Boone Speedway, leading the top four finishers in both races to the outside row of the championship event. James had to work his way up from ninth starting, catching Todd Shute for the lead in a green, white checkered finish. Berry also had to pass a former Super Nationals champion to get to the front and brought Jeff Aikey along to the checkers. Drew Janssen led the first 11 circuits of the opening qualifier before giving way to Shute. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 9, 2022) – Gifted the pole start when his Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational competition drew every spoon except the one with the one written on it, Thompson led every lap but the first one in winning the special Modified race Friday night during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. “I couldn’t believe that the one (spoon) was the only one left. That was probably the only way I was going to get it,” said Thompson, never seriously challenged once in front. “The All-Star race is a race that every driver in the division wants to win and it’s a real credit to our team that we were able to do it.” The race ran caution-free all 30 laps and was completed in just over nine minutes.
