Loverude Wins Modified Thriller by Inches at Arlington

(July 26, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature had the fans at Arlington Raceway on the edge of their seats with five different leaders in a race packed with drama. Jason Schroeder led the opening lap, but Todd Stinehart, who started eighth, wasted no time and took over on lap two. Trent Loverude, racing with a broken foot, worked his way into the battle by lap six, trading the lead back and forth with Stinehart. Clint Hatlestad was also right there, making it a thrilling three-way contest. A caution on lap 14 flew when Wayne Govig spun and collected J.J. Reimers. On the restart, Hatlestad powered around Stinehart, setting up a showdown with Loverude. The two exchanged the top spot three different times on the final lap alone. (July 26, 2025) — The Dove Creek-based Spangler family stole the spotlight Saturday night at Cortez Fairgrounds Speedway, sweeping the podium in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod division with an unforgettable 1-2-3 finish. Aaron Spangler was the class of the field, charging from the seventh starting position and methodically working his way to the front. First held in the early 1990s under the vision of then-Governor George Sinner, the event was designed to be a marquee racing showcase for drivers across North Dakota. Originally rotating between tracks, it found a permanent home at Dacotah Speedway by the mid-1990s. Now more than three decades later, the Governor’s Cup still draws top-tier competition from across the Midwest to the high banks of Mandan. On Friday night, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars took center stage as Andrew Jochim and Jonny Carter led the field to green after scoring the most passing points in their heats. (July 26, 2025) – Ethan Killingsworth came out on top of a thrilling duel with Bricen James to win the inaugural Frank Brewer Memorial G60 Classic at Cottage Grove Speedway. The special-format Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, split into two 30-lap segments and paying $3,000 to win, honored longtime racer and track tire vendor Frank Brewer. The victory marked Killingsworth’s third win at CGS this season and his eighth overall in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. (July 26, 2025) — Bo Partain proved untouchable in Sunoco IMCA Stock Car competition at Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway, driving from ninth both nights to sweep the weekend and raise his win tally to five on the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, with four coming at the Arizona 1/4-mile oval. On Friday, he muscled past Grady Clements on lap six and never looked back. Trenchard Scores First Win of 2025 in Douglas County Modified Main

(July 25, 2025) — Nick Trenchard turned in a dominating performance to capture his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Douglas County Dirtrack — and he did it in classic fashion. The Klamath Falls veteran drove the Biehn Racing no. 54N to the checkered flag and earned his first win of 2025 in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. In the 25-lap main event, Bennett Bray paced the field on the opening lap until a caution for debris slowed the field. That allowed Trenchard, who started third, to seize the opportunity. On the restart, he threw a big slider into the first set of turns and took control on lap two. Trenchard quickly checked out and was well ahead of the field when a stoppage on lap 16 slowed the action — the only other interruption of the race. Serbus Scores Sprint Car Win No. 6 of 2025 With Dominant Jackson Motorplex Performance

(July 25, 2025) — Trevor Serbus led the distance of the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Jackson Motorplex for his first victory at the track since 2022 and his sixth overall this year at three different facilities. Following a caution on the start of the feature, the race ran non-stop until Lap 18 when second-running Lee Goos Jr. collided with a lapped car entering turn one. John Lambertz, who was running fifth, also sustained race-ending damage after clipping the front end of the stopped Goos Jr. Dusty Ballenger recorded a runner-up result – 1.933 seconds behind Serbus – with Brandon Halverson placing third.

Roedl Outguns “The Hitman” for First Win of 2025

Roedl opened up a lead on the field and looked set to grab an easy checkered flag, but “The Hitman” Johnny Whitman had something else in mind. Whitman, the current point leader and defending division champ, started his march to the front by sliding inside Jayden Schmidt on lap seven to move up to fourth. A lap later, Whitman picked off Tanner Janke for third. By lap 11, Whitman snuck past Konnor Wilinski to take second.
