(May 8, 2026) — Billy Hubbard put together a perfect night with the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars of the Virginia Sprint Series, sweeping both his heat race and the feature on Fast Friday at Dixieland Speedway. Hubbard, from Cobbs Creek, set the tone early by winning his heat, while Matthew Leach also scored a preliminary victory. When the feature went green, Hubbard and Jerald Harris led the field to the stripe, with Hubbard immediately seizing control. Harris settled into second, with Leach holding third in the early stages. Corbin White controlled the early portion of the feature, leading the first seven laps while navigating a pair of cautions that kept the field tightly packed. The 25-lap finale began with Salinas veteran Robert Marsh pacing the early circuits, while a tight battle brewed just behind him. Jim Pettit II of Prunedale and Hogge raced side-by-side for second, keeping fans locked in as the front-runners battled on the quarter-mile. Will Wolf, who started 11th, appeared poised to score the victory after leading much of the race, but a late caution reset the field. Debenedetti Navigates Traffic for SportMod Season-Opening Win at Southern Oregon

(May 2, 2026) — Fresh off a heat race victory earlier in the night, Vinny Debenedetti led the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods to green in the 2026 season-opening main event at Southern Oregon Speedway. The field completed just one lap before trouble erupted on lap two. Logan McKnight and Ryder Boswell tangled on the front stretch while battling for position, collecting Cory Biggs in turn one. Chad Volk of Lake Crystal, who started third, had his car dialed in early and led the entire distance to score his first win of the year in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Cory Probst, who started 10th, appeared to be a contender before a caution sent him to the back on a restart.
