IMCA.TV releases 2016 “Where America Comes To Watch Races” coverage schedule  

SILVER BAY, Minn. – The second year of IMCA.TV, the Official Network of IMCA Racing, kicks it up a notch with an impressive schedule of 70-plus races from all over the United States and Canada with a number available included in Monthly Subscription. A refresh of the service is set for June 20. The primary focus of the service will be hardcore IMCA racing coverage including full shows and feature races. In an effort to make live streaming more affordable to fans, a number of races will be included in the standard monthly subscription rate of only $19.99. Current subscribers will be locked in at the lower 2015 rate until the event they cancel. IMCA.TV coverage schedule includes a combination of all the big events, historic racing series, new shows and weekly racing tracks that dot the racing landscape. Woods is fastest on fast track at Abilene SST

ABILENE, Texas (May 7) – Abilene Speedway continued to be very good to defending Sprint Series of Texas champion Dustin Woods. Woods led the last 19 of 20 circuits in winning Saturday’s main event for touring IMCA EMI RaceSaver Sprint Cars. “It’s always fun to race at Abilene,” said Woods, the fourth different winner in as many SST events so far this season. “I started outside the front row, which was a first at Abilene. The track changed from real fast to slick in just a handful of laps so it was a pretty nice win.” Cody Whitworth was scored first on the opening lap. Stock Car Showdown slated May 17 at Hamilton County

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – A midweek special at Hamilton County Speedway puts the spotlight on IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Stock Cars run for $2,000 to win and Hobby Stocks for $1,000 to win at the Tuesday, May 17 Central Iowa Stock Car Showdown. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded in both divisions. Entry fees of $65 for Stock Cars and $45 for Hobby Stocks include the driver’s pit pass. Pit gates at Webster City open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Clay County hosts Hobby Stock Spring Nationals

SPENCER, Iowa – Clay County Fairgrounds hosts the Spencer Office Supplies and H & N Chevrolet Buick-sponsored Hobby Stock Spring Nationals next Tuesday, May 17. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $2,000 to win, additional prize money for second through seventh place finishers, a $200 hard charger award from Weasy’s Bar and Grill and a minimum of $75 to start. Also on the midweek program at Spencer are Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Lagroon denies Schrader at Salina Speedway

(May 6) – For most of the feature event Friday night at Salina Speedway in the Long McArthur IMCA Modified division, it looked as if NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader would notch his first win at the track. But he was inevitably denied with only a handful of laps left as Salina’s Corey Lagroon snuck past and powered away for the victory, his first of the season. The $1,000 victory put Lagroon on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Schrader, who started from the pole after a lucky pill draw by one of the speedway’s younger fans, pushed up the track exiting turn three, allowing Lagroon the room to get by as he got the car to stick on the bottom side. Team Petersilie celebrates $1,000 win and free T-shirt following Longdale’s IMCA Night

LONGDALE, Okla. (May 4) – Mike Petersilie raced to the biggest win of his career at Longdale Speedway’s IMCA Night on Wednesday. As a bonus, his daughters Lexus, Hailey and Kassy stayed up late to watch the event on IMCA.TV and won a Tweet Your Seat contest T-shirt. Petersilie drew the pole for the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified main event and had to regain the front spot from Kevin Sustaire late in a contest that ran caution-free all 20 laps. The $1,000 checkers, the top win money-wise of Petersilie’s 17 seasons on the track, put him on the ballot for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Sustaire, Clay Sellard, 11th starting Cole Traugott and Ken Schrader rounded out the top five. EAST MOLINE, Ill. (May 2) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series show at Quad City Speedway has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 15. Rained out on May 1, the IMCA Late Model tour event at East Moline pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. LAKE ODESSA, Mich. – I-96 Speedway opens this Friday, May 6 with the $1,196 to win Ice Breaker special for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds.
