IMCA Modified Red River Tour travels to six tracks in Texas, Oklahoma May 26-June 1 

KENNEDALE, Texas – The inaugural IMCA Red River Modified Tour takes drivers in three divi­sions to six tracks in Texas and Oklahoma. IMCA Modified features May 26 at Kennedale Speedway Park, May 27 at Heart O’ Texas Speed­way, May 28 at 281 Speedway, May 30 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway and May 31 at Grayson County Speedway all pay $1,000 to win. The final Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event of the week is June 1 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, with a top prize of $1,500. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods race for $500 to win and a minimum of $50 to start each night. All events are draw/redraw and will be broadcast by IMCA.TV. Sprint Series of Oklahoma Invades Lawton Speedway Saturday night

By David Smith Jr. LAWTON, Okla. – The Sprint Series of Oklahoma presented by Smiley’s Rac­ing Products/Hoosier Racing Tire Southwest kicks back into racing action this Saturday, April 14 as it makes the first of three scheduled appearances at Lawton Speedway. This event will kick off four straight weekends of racing for the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car series at four different tracks and will be the series’ second-ever trip to the quarter-mile, red clay oval. Last year it was two-time and defending tour champion Andy Shouse taking advantage of race-long leader Blake Dacus’ misfortune to take the lead with eight laps to go to pick up the victory. Mohave Valley celebrates 25th with IMCA Modified special

MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. – Mohave Valley Raceway celebrates its 25th anniversary on Saturday, April 14 with a $1,500 to win IMCA Modified special. The main event pays a minimum of $100 to start and the entry fee of $100 includes car and driver. Total purse for the feature is $6,000. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region and Arizona State, but no track points will be awarded. Deery Brothers Summer Series opens Friday with Rebel 5K at Davenport 

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The longest running Late Model Series in the Midwest is back in action and a top prize of $5,000 is on the line when Davenport Speedway hosts opening night for the Deery Brothers Summer Series this Friday, April 13. The Rebel 5K is the first of 13 dates for the 32nd annual IMCA Late Model tour and pays a mini­mum of $300 to start. DONNELLSON, Iowa – Four Iowa divisions run each night of Frostbuster Week, now scheduled for April 11-14. $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events for the IMCA Modifieds headline race programs Wednesday, April 11 at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Thursday, April 12 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton, Friday, April 13 at Marshalltown Speedway and Saturday, April 14 at Boone Speedway. OSBORN, Mo. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,200 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $500 to win at US 36 Raceway’s Saturday, April 14 Modified Shootout. The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and pays a minimum of $150 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central Region and Missouri State points will be awarded. Northern SportMods chase national and state points along with a minimum of $90 to start. No track points will be awarded in either division and driver must have a 2018 IMCA license to compete. ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. – Sweet Diamond Challenge Series dates take IMCA drivers in three divisions to eight events at Sweetwater Speedway and Diamond Speedway this season. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win each night at Sweetwater, in Rock Springs, Wyo. One thousand dollar top prizes also await IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod drivers who win features during shows at Diamond Mountain, in Vernal, Utah, with 20 or more entries. Hughes Sunflower Classic special is March 30, 31 at RPM Speedway

HAYS, Kan. – A familiar event runs under a slightly different name when RPM Speedway opens with its Mike ‘Huey’ Hughes Sunflower Classic on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31. Hughes, the long-time track announcer, writer and radio show host, died late last year. LaSALLE, Ill. – IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods will be part of Thaw Brawl programs at LaSalle Speedway Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31. Both Modified features are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Friday’s main event pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start while Saturday’s headliner pays $1,200 to win and a minimum of $120 to start. Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series returns to New Egypt Speedway for opening night

By Erika Palma Wagner NEW EGYPT, N.J. – The Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by the Delaware Auto Exchange is gearing up for their return to New Egypt Speedway for the first time under the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series banner. The IMCA Race Saver Sprint Car series, has four scheduled events at the Central New Jersey D-shaped oval, with April 14th being the first. The series returns there on May 12, July 21 and Aug. 11.
