Beatrice preps for July 29 Gage County Fair special

BEATRICE, Neb. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a berth on the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot at Beatrice Speedway’s Sunday, July 29 Gage County Fair special. Completing the card are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, all running for $500 to win, and Mach-1 Sport Compacts in a $250 to win feature. There is no entry fee for the draw/redraw show. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Nebraska State, but no local track points will be awarded. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-11 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30. Kossuth County to Salute Home Town Heroes on Veterans Night 

ALGONA, Iowa – Kossuth County Speedway’s salute to veterans on Home Town Heroes Night July 26 boasts $2,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds, presented by Becks Hybrids, and for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, presented by Altenburg Construction/Slat Replacement Professionals. Both divisions have a $50 entry fee and are draw/redraw. Thursday’s Modified feature is a 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and Harris Dash at the Clash qualifier. All weekly classes run and all points, including track, will be awarded. Veterans can show their ID to receive free grandstand admission or $10 off a pit pass. Pit gates open at 5:30 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps. Cars with patriotic wraps will be on display earlier in the day. More than $6,000 in prizes, including two limited edition Henry Golden Bay rifles, will be given in a drivers-only raffle.

Rounding out the card are IMCA Modifieds vying for $2,000 to win and a berth on the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, while Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win. Three events in three nights are next for IMCA Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour

JEFFERSON, S.D. (July 20) – Another out-of-state date kicks off three events in as many nights for the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour. The series for IMCA Modifieds is at Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D., on Monday, July 23, before returning to familiar Iowa venues Hancock County Speedway in Britt on Tuesday, July 24 and Buena Vista Raceway in Alta on Wednesday, July 25. All three features pay $2,000 to win and are qualifying events for the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. The Park Jefferson show will be the first held in South Dakota in the series’ eight-plus year history; 141 Speedway in Wisconsin had hosted the first Dirt Knights Tour event outside Iowa in June. WEST UNION, Iowa (July 20) – The longest running tour for Late Models in the Midwest makes a much-anticipated return to West Union and Fayette County Speedway on Wednesday, July 25. Covert Memorial is Saturday at Thunder Hill 

MAYETTA, Kan. – A top prize of $1,700 and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth are at stake Saturday for IMCA Modifieds Thunder Hill Speedway. The 17th annual Oren Covert Memorial Race headlines the July 21 program with the BSB Manufacturing Modified winner also receiving the traditional toolbox trophy. All registered drivers taking a green flag in the heat or feature will receive an additional $8 at payout. This extra money makes the driver’s pit pass for the event $17.  Other contingencies will also be available. Knoxville Raceway hosts the third installment of the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour. 141 reschedules King of the Creek Stock Car special

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 18) – A less than favorable forecast for this weekend has resulted in rescheduling of 141 Speedway’s $5,000 to win King of the Creek IMCA Sunoco Stock Car special. King of the Creek moves to Tuesday, July 31-Thursday, Aug. 2. Practice is on opening night with Stock Car qualifying and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact features on the docket for Wednesday. No track points will be given to SportMod and Sport Compact drivers. Thursday’s program features last-chance qualifying and the main event for Stock Cars, plus all other divisions running their regular formats. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Wisconsin State and track points will be awarded. Both IMCA Modifieds and Stock Cars are on the Cowbell Street Stock Tour program Thursday, July 19 at Francis Creek. Modifieds race for $750 to win, Stocks for $500. DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $750 to win their Mississippi Valley Fair show next Tuesday, July 24 at Davenport Speedway. A minimum of $75 will be paid to start and there is no entry fee for the draw/redraw show, held in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Late Models. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State, but no track points will be awarded. General admission is $25 and box seats are $30. $1,500 is top IMCA Modified check Saturday at Perris

PERRIS, Calif. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, July 21. The 30-lapper awards IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, California State and track points.
